Dr. Madsen was great. Quiz and a write up due every week, with presentations scattered throughout. Definitely a little bit of a feminist - but the good kind (doesn't hate men) She's conservative and has an open mind. Attendance is pretty important but go have a good time.

She CAN be tough and stubborn at times, BUT when you really try your hardest she is very appreciative and encouraging. Some say she's stone cold but I always get a hug every time I run into her (my class from her was two semesters ago) and she genuinely wants to know how I'm doing. She's not as bad as she's made out to be if you give her a chance!

Dr. Madsen is really fun. She loves to facilitate class participation. She's a bit of a feminist and you hear about it a lot. Tests are pretty easy. Lots of papers. Attendance has a lot of weight.

She is a great teacher. She definitely knows her stuff. Class is mandatory! There are group projects all the time, and attendance. Quizzes weekly, and papers are a little rough. She's so fun when it comes to group projects though. Keeps you entertained all class.

Pros: Dr. Madsen is a good person. She knows her stuff. She promotes open class conversations and activities. Cons: Due to her extensive work with women Dr. Madsen is very feminist. She is always in Phd mode and expects your papers to be at that level, subjective grading. way too much hw. Rules by the book,wont work w you. Do not recommend.

She is really rude. When you ask her questions she will make you feel extremely stupid. She's an extreme feminist and expects more out of the women in class. I would stay as far away as you can. Do not take this teacher if at all possible.

A lot of assignments, most arent too back but she tends to be unclear on what is expected for the papers, doesnt respond to emails if you missed class. There is alot of group work so pick a good group day 2. There are presentations and group debates, alot of sharing things youve learned from the textbook, almost always have to read. 15 pg paper!!

Dr. Madsen is amazing. She has accomplished a lot and she is very confident, so she is not afraid to talk about her accomplishments. She expects a lot from her students, which only benefits you as a student. She is funny and if you want to learn a lot and get the most out of your education you should take her classes. Many students love Dr. Madsen!

If at all possible, take this class from somebody else!! I had her for organizational behavior and it was a nightmare! her grading is very inconsistent and the group project was absolutely awful!!!! steer clear of this teacher!

Took her class my last semester at UVU, Dec. 2013. There was a lot of busy work, and she is a character, let me tell you what. However, the class was easy. Cake even. Mandatory attendance, busy work and a condescending professor makes for an annoying semester though.

Susan is a hardened vigilante detective on the edge with nothing to lose. She will find these crimes and avert them. She will scour the dark alleyways searching desperately for your supposed plagiarisms/integrity issues of your paper. She needs to put these shady students behind bars. Only one way to do so: Lie and slander her way to the top.

Her busy work is easy, but her project is ridiculous. She has higher expectations of your English than any English teacher I have had. She comes off as pretentious and obnoxious. My friend took this class from a different teacher and has had a way better experience. Take it from another teacher is my recommendation.

Not willing to help students. although she has published books on the subject her lectures are organised. you learn more from reading the text book. Attended mandatory. An extreme amount of busy work timed quizzes and "reflections" (500 words) and projects each week. Exams and in depth report papers.

Dr. Madsen did ask a lot of her students in this class but was willing to help every step of the way. She is very kind and professional and very fair to her students. She wants nothing but greatness for her students. If you work hard and turn your work in on time you can get an A! I would recomend this class to anyone and everyone!

I hated this class. I took her online class for organizational behavior... On line classes are usually pretty low maintainence but this one was awful! I think the thing that made it so bad was the group project. It was extremely inconvenient and instructions were extremely unclear... Would NOT recommend this professor

The tests are a joke and most of the things you are tested on aren't covered in class. She has very very high expectations for the final project and papers. She thinks since she has published things herself that you should be able to do the same even though the prerequisites for the class say otherwise. I would not take a class from her again.
