Comment:
Fluids isn't easy class but Dr. Fabris did a good job explaining what's important and what we need to know in order to be competent engineers. He's generous with partial credit which helps a lot. Don't expect a life changing experience but I learned a lot in Fluids and it wasn't unreasonably hard.

He knows what he is doing. Engaging lecturer. Sometimes gets a little confusing. Tests are hard. He is available for office hours, but intimidating to the point where you think that any question you ask is stupid.

Fabris has definitely improved since these last few reviews were posted. He has definitely settled in as the head of the department. He does a pretty good job, knows a lot about the subject, will help if you ask. Material is difficult, there's no getting around that.

Took him for 266 and 236. WORST PROFESSOR EVER. His lectures are all theory which would be fine if he connected why/how these ideas are useful in the real world. Never used my textbook for 266 and in fact used every other undergrad engineering text I owned except for the textbook. He was not helpful after hours (when he was available). Good luck...

Really bad. The way he teaches the class makes the material so much harder than it should be. The book is very vague as well, but he's been the only professor to teach 122 for a while so you're probably shucks outta luck.

Mixed bag. He hammered us for 10 weeks, gave reasonable homework, an unworkable project, and an impossible final, had me doing something with bricks, then gave A's to most of the class. He's helpful if you can ever catch him in his office. You'll definitely work for whatever grade you get.

Not a good teacher in a big class. Better for small classes.
