I have debilitating anxiety,& I would join a bar fight for Ed. He was very willing to talk to me & help out. Like, actually cut me slack when something terrible happened that I had to deal with. He's very funny, especially when you get him talking & ask questions. Class itself is hard as hell and just as dry. He's gets off track, ASK him things

I took this for credit for my ICC courses. He is a nice guy but the class was absolutely horrible and extremely time consuming and hard for an elective credit. His tests are take home but near impossible and take hours- i dont recommend. Only C i've ever gotten

Ed was a great professor! Lecture wasn't super interesting for everyone, but if you're interested in bio or cancer it'll draw you're attention. He grades a lot of his classwork based on effort, but his tests are very hard. Study a lot for those and definitely take advantage of the review sessions he has. They're helpful too. Also interesting books!

Ed is great. Wil make you work for your grades, but in the end you feel better about yourself. To meet with him, just go up and ask him, give the time and date you want to get help-dont email! Reading textbook great supplement to course. Study hard, find humor in the words "story and cancer". Drinking game is possible, after take home exam, only.

bio of cancer. eh. mediocre teacher. hes kind of funny in a dorky/adorable way, he slips in little jokes in his lectures for ppl that are listening. hes kind of vague about office hrs and what will be on tests but if you just go over the notes and his prac questions its really easy. attendance isnt mandatory but he gives quizzes to the ppl tht come

ONE OF THE WORST PROFESSORS I'VE EVER HAD. Is really unclear about assignments, doesnt answer emails unless if you persist (I had to email him a second time saying please respond to my first email). Lastly, I'm a health sciences major who got an A in anatomy and physiology and A- in chem but a B in this bio elective. Clearly something wrong there.

Great guy, awkwardly funny (which is funny). You can tell he know what he's talking about, but the class organization is abysmal and most students will attest to this. You are bombarded with info and expected to put it all together yourself, which is NOT how one is supposed to teach.

Absolutely the worst professor I've had in my entire life. DO NOT take New and Emerging Diseases for one of your science credits. Although he knows every single person in the class is only taking the class as a gen ed, he makes it extremely difficult (especially his tests). Don't try to reach him during his office hours- he won't be there.

This guy sucks, he tells you that you will only have 3 grades for the whole class (new and emerging diseases) and then just adds some for fun. He says absolutely nothing in class and loves to try and brag about how smart he is.

He is a very nice guy with an odd and sometimes awkward sense of humour.OBSESSED with plagarisim, I think he spent the first class just talking about how his final exam is super hard and cheat proof. Also he has you buy six books and assigns readings sporadically, tests contain unheard of material harder than most 100 lvl courses.

Ed is a great professor and a very smart man. His class is Hard. Very Hard. But if you work hard, you will do well. At first Cell appears like a class for memorizing, but as you get into systems, a lot is about understanding how everything works. This will help you remember specific names. Ed make's corny jokes :)

Cluett's lectures are interesting, however he assigns piles of outside reading and tests are extremely hard. The most annoying thing is that he pretends like his class is a piece of cake and is constantly discouraging students from taking notes.

Ed's class is really fun if you cna be open to a couple corny jokes. It's a non major course so don't expect too much content, but that was what I wanted. If you fall behind in grades he's always willing to help. I went from a D to a B by the end of the semester. Highly recommended!
