He has no idea how to work with technology. Other than that, he's pretty entertaining. I enjoyed class with him. I would recommend him to anybody. He likes "discussion," which consists of somebody saying something, then him rambling for 10-15 minutes about something that may or may not be related to what that person said.

Professor Lambert has a very interesting style of teaching that is full of fun (and funny) stories that are always relevant, even when you might first question why he brings them up. He expects a lot as far as in-class presentation goes (He raged at someone for falling asleep, and kicked them out). But on assignments he really helps you to do well.

Wonderful Teacher! His TA josh was great too. He is hard but if you work hard and improve he does reward you. I loved his stories and it really is a shame he is retiring.

Comment:

I took his American Revolution class a couple of years ago and it changed the way I think about history. He is an unbelievably talented teacher, but he is very, very tough. I got B's and D's on everything, but luckily nailed my final essay (25 pages long) and got an A in the class. If you make a strong effort, he will reward you.

Great teacher for a 7:30 class, keeps you awake. Make sure to read and highlight from the book, tests questions come directly from it. Also had a saturday final scheduled but he moved it so it was before dead week, awesome.

Lambert is pretty fun. He makes lectures really interesting with little side stories that are Frankly awesome. He also used to be a punter for the Steelers, so he understands the real world and doesn't live entirely in academia.

Good sense of humor, gets on his soap box from time to time. His exams are all essay. 3 books required to read, but exams mostly come from lectures, so you could skip the readings. He is entertaining to listen to. Very interesting material but hard exams.
