He's not the best but I think in general he does want students to do well. There were 4 exams. He gives you the practice questions that will be on the exam and 80-95% of the questions will come from that. My advice is to know those questions inside and out. 5% ec just for 100% attendance, so just come to class. You will need the book for summaries

He gives you 40-50 M.C. chapter questions for each chapter, each test is 8 chapters, and from the 100 questions on each test around 85 or 90 questions are taken from these questions. So find the answers to those online. He takes attendance on 5 random days the whole semester for 5% extra credit; which is the only reason to go to lecture.

Chaudhry is an excellent professor. 4 exams, all based off of a group of 400 or so questions he gives you for the exam, 5 chapter summaries, and 5% extra credit for 100% attendance. The questions are easy to answer. I really learned a lot from him and his class, I highly recommend this professor!!!!!!!

He is a very nice and very good professor. His exams are 8 chapters each exam(4 total no cum) and he gives you about 400 questions to learn. His exams are 100 questions and 90 come from those questions. It's a 32 chapter class, what do you expect for it to be easy. Tries his best to help students and cares about his students. Very great guy.

In this class, you will: Be read powerpoint slides in a very thick accent that is quiet and hard to decipher. Spend the time memorizing 400+ test questions for each exam. Taking the exam, and then forgetting said answers. Suffering through a research paper on a topic that you have never heard of. Counting down the days until the class is over.

You can hardly understand what he says during lecture because english is not his first language and will read directly off the slides. But he gives you Practice exams which will be exactly the same on the real exam. If you work in groups and find the answers and memorize them and you will be fine.

I don't know how anyone could give this guy a good review. He's a bit hard to understand, mumbles through long lectures, and gives tons of practice problems that are quite hard to find the answers to. Unless you're super into microbiology and know most of the information already, I'd stay away.

This guy is TERRIBLE. He gives you hundreds of practice problems and the answers are no where to be found. Not in lecture or book. I studied EXTREMELY hard for this class and even made time to see him in his office... which was useless. I ended up dropping the course as a Senior. He's the worst professor I've had to date. STAY AWAY!!!

Chaudhry mumbles incessantly throughout each and every lecture and has shown no ability to articulate in the English language. You will learn practically nothing, and spend your time searching for the answers to hundreds of practice problems before each exam. Many of the problems contain mistakes too, and are not in the book used in the course.

Super nice professor, really cares for his students. A lot of people say that he isn't the best at teaching, which is true, but I think he makes up for it by looking out for his students, which the majority of teacher's don't care to do. I also heard if you go to him for help separately he explains the material really well. I really liked him.

Horrible teacher. You will learn nothing in this class because he just gives you possible exam questions which you just have to memorize before the tests. Also, he tries to cover to much material to quickly so theirs no time to pick up on the interesting stuff.

He's an alright professor.. he gives you a long list of possible exam questions and at least 75% of the questions on the actual test are from those.. so make sure you answer and study those! He is not easy to understand and he is not a great professor.. but go to class and show him you care.. Do other homework if you have to. just be there..

Very disappointed with this professor. The subject matter was interesting to me, and he is a nice guy, but a poor instructor. Reads power points which come directly from the book. Test questions are randomly picked from about 10 chapters of info. Frequently makes mistakes, even with the info in front of him. Avoid if possible.

Dr. Chaudhry is the kind of professor you want to go speak to during his office hours about the class material. If you show an honest effort and go talk to him about the class you will do good in any of his classes.

He is really nice and will answer questions but his requests of you are so vague. I found it hard to stay awake in class (reads of power points that he posts). Grading is stupid and tries to test you on 15 chapters at a time. He also goes off on little rants and forgets what he was saying. I have no interest in micro anymore!! Take Dr. Lui.

Bio417 & 437 in the same semester. Horrible decision. Recieved terrific grades, but I busted my ass and neglected my other classes to do it, while short-term memorizing meaningless 3 letter abbreviasions for random mutations, and neglecting any significant uderstading of either class. Great prof if all you want to do is earn credit, or do research.

I vehemently disagree with the previous posting. He is not a good teacher and does not come prepared for the class. He simply reads from his slides (which perhaps come prepared from the text book). I learned nothing). OU BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT LACKS GOOD ADVANCED LEVEL COURSE INSTRUCTORS. PERIOD
