The professor was really interesting and had a lot of great knowledge and experience to share. Occasionally the class would drag on through lengthy conversations between the professor and two or three other students. Personally he uses a teaching strategy I would not use with my students. It is a very lecture based class.

I had quite the mental block to taking a masters level grammar course, but, as it turns out, I learned a lot and it wasn't so bad afterall. The prof. had a lot of great things to add and he helped me to see some different perspectives!

Great instructor. The content was hard, but Gavin made it easier. I took this course as a two week study, but I would really like to take it again as a semester long course. I would reccomend Gavin for any language course!
