He's very intelligent, but the class is incredibly boring. He'll talk about work he's done or ideas he has the whole time, and he doesn't allow computers. There's no real work involved, and everyone gets a good grade.

It was a true delight to listen as Professor Anastaplo's lectured. I wish I had learned as much from all my law school teachers.

I loved every moment I sat in George Anastaplo's class. The thing I liked most about Professor Anastaplo was his belief in the unity of history and law. Most law school teachers attached little historical depth to their lectures. Professor Anataplo's lectures were a joy to hear, and his books are a pleasure to read.

I doubt most of the reviewers of this prof have taken a step outside the classroom or had a sniff of the bar exam. I had Anastaplo while at Loyola (07 grad). He was amazing. I have since taken the bar and guess what folks, nothing you do in law school prepares you for it. Open your eyes and take advantage of his class for what it does teach you!

Prof Anastaplo does not teach in a traditional law school format. Nor does his Con Law class prepare you for the Bar Exam. Nevertheless, he is as wise and analytical a thinker I've ever met and sparked in me an appreciation for American History and the learning process. He floats one pearl of widom after another. Be patient and appreciative.

Prof. Anastaplo gets a bad rap. He's a very smart and dedicated professor who has a lot to say for anyone willing to actually listen to him.

I didn't learn a thing in his class. Learned Con Law in my law & poverty class, and in bar/bri. He is not very thought provoking and if somehow, one of the students does manage an original thought in his class that might be contrary to his own, he wont hear it. Big waste of money. But if you want some down time in school, by all means.

Legend? By whose standards? Not by mine. He freely admits nothing in his class will prepare you for the bar, so why bother paying attention? If he wants to discuss Con Law theory, do it in a separate class, with those who are interested, not in a required course, where all you do is serve your ego. Take someone else for this class.

An apology and refund should be sent by Loyola to every student who has enrolled in one of his classes. The grades are admittedly arbitrary. Very few students who took this professor will indicate that they learned anything substantive above Constitutional Law.

Excellent professor. I agree with the individual who said he is smart and if you failed the class it is because you are dumb. This is clearly the case, and people who complain about him not explaining the most basic constitutional principles in class should already know these from undergrad.

Worst prof ever. Ignore anyone who says otherwise. This guy may perhaps be a legend in his own mind. Loves to hear himself talk, but no one else. Also, intelligent students will be bored to tears by his lack of concern for the subject matter of the course. Retire, old man! Your time has passed!!!!

One of the BEST professors at the law school. Living legend? Yes. Kudos to the person who mentioned intelligence. Idiots will not survive. If you're stupid, don't waste people's time with your ratings for him, you failed his class because your dumb.

Professor Anastaplo is one of the best profs I had at Loyola - not only is he a living legend, but he is FAR smarter than most of his students. Lazy and/or stupid students might find him to be slow or boring, intelligent ones will pick up on things.

Has no clue what is going on....assigned readings not really discussed in class---tests are matching sections of the constitution and other documents to the letter corresponding to the document. In the end, no one comes to class or people do other work.
