Dr. Haniff is a different type of professor. most do not like him but i find him to be rather interesting. his teaching style is definetly different than most. the key to his classes is attending them! if you go and listen you will be just fine.

He is a Horrible professor. The tests have nothing to do with his lecture or the book. So everyone gets a C or below, but then he curves the grades so it doesnt show up that nobody could pass the class. It's a total toss up if you will know what's on the test. DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASSES WITH THIS PROFESSOR.

im a A student and got C. I felt like i was talking over him all the time in class. Hes not really up to date and if you bring ideas to the class he will write them off and continue saying his BS. test are multiple choice which really makes them impossible in political science since their are multitudes of answers with in the area.

While his teaching style can be intensly boring and he does tend to mock students he really does know his stuff... Not a bad teacher is you attend class and pay attention though he isn't particularly helpful

There is a lot of material covered, but if you read the book and take notes- you're fine. The hard part is attendance, if you miss out on what's covered you will not necessarily do well. He tends to be very monotone and doesn't really do much besides lecture which can be hard to sit through every day. It's an A if you GO TO CLASS.

I learned a lot, but that is because I put the effort forth. 251 wasn't to that bad, but mid east politics was hard. I got an A, but you have to go to class everyday and take good notes and read. He jumped all over the place from Iran 300 BC to Syria present to Iran 1600's.

I'm a pretty lazy student, just do the minumim, but I still got an A in his class. Most of the time, 90% of the class was absent... which explains why they do not like the grades they got.... duh!?!? his exams are totally based on his lectures, come to class and try not to fall asleep, take good notes if u can but LISTEN. That's all it takes.

The man does what he's there to do--TEACH! Come to class and be attentive, read the book and you'll definitely ACE the tests. Everything that's on the tests is covered in the readings and lectures. A great class and teacher for learning about World Politics and getting a good grade.

This class is completely boring and useless. He seems to know what he is talking about but you still feel like falling asleep in class. You don't really have to go to class just read the textbook and go to class the day of the test and I'm sure you'd be ok.
