Giovanni is the best professor I have ever had. When you go in for help during his office hours, he shows up at the right time and goes to put his stuff down and comes over to help you right away. Hes the funniest professor and great to all of his students. Everyone loves him. I want him for all my Italian courses!! You will learn if you go.

he is the most amazing teacher i have ever had , and i took this class for some basic teaching of Italian. i already have my BS in marketing. I would very very highly recommend him :) he is a wonderful teacher and overall a wonderful person I did learn a lot .. loved and enjoyed his class every single time

Best professor ever. Made learning a new language extremely easy! His grading style is EXTREMELY LENIENT, as long as you put an effort he will most likely give you 3/4 of the point. I would highly recommend him!

I took Prof Trombetta for Italian 1 and 2. However, do to life I had to drop out from 2. But, he knew I was struggling in my life. He knew that it was affecting my school life. He did ALL that he could to help me. He's so kind and respectful and genuinely CARES about his students. He is an amazing professor but an even better human being. TAKE HIM!

Wow!! What an amazing teacher, but more importantly, what a great man. Mr. Trombetta is hands down one of, if not, the best professor at LAVC. He's so patient, nice, respectful, intelligent, and helpful. He truly wants you to learn the material, and learn it well. Do youself a favor and take his classes. Take as many of them as possible.

I had Professor Trombetta for all five Italian classes, and he is consistent with his material. He is very patient and very clear in his expectations. The classwork is the homework and what is on the test. If you attend all of his classes, then you will actively be reviewing. He really helped me be confident in speaking in front of other.

I too started my semester with Professor Trombetta! He's always happy to see every student! I like how he goes around the room and ask each student to repeat the words in Italian. He's such kind person and if you need extra help you can go to his office. I can't wait to learn more Italian from him!!

2 semesters Italian w Prof Trombetta, late 80s to early 90s @LAVC. After finishing @UCLA , Prof Trombetta remained right there at the top of my favorite instructors. He's very focused on teaching - a quintessential professor. Kind, intelligent, cheerful & socially engaging. Brought in pizza on last day of class:) I will never forget him.

Hands down the best professor at LAVC. Need a foreign lang? Take him. I took him for Italian 1 and currently Italian 2. There's online labs (easy) and his tests are easy as long as you show up everyday and participate and honestly just try. He's understanding and goes with the pace of every student in class. His tests are basic fill in the blanks.

There's a reaso. He has so many great reviews. He's not obly a great teacher, but also an amazing person. Not enough can be said about Professor Trombetta. You will definitely learn if you want to. I've just started the semester with him, but so far he's a great teacher! I just wanted to make clear of something here in which other reviews lack... He goes around the room and asks each student to repeat the Italian word. He also goes really fast as we have learned numbers and the alphabet in a matter of 2 days. But love him tho he's funny

Professor Giovanni is the best foreign language teacher I've ever had. He is very helpful and will answer all of your questions. He is always in a positive mood and he's funny. I find him adorable. He gives easy hw and he reviews what is going to be on the test the day before which is pretty helpful. Take his class you won't regret it!

Professor Trombetta is one of the greatest professors you'll ever have! The world seriously needs more professors like him. He is extremely sweet and helpful. He will make sure everyone understands the material, and doesn't move on until everyone does. Very easy as long as you attend class and do the homework. I highly recommend him.

Great, positive & outgoing professor! Very respected by his students. His lectures are not very difficult at all, as he is willing to repeat the material again, he's not in a rush. Answers all questions & explains the answers. Expect to buy 2 books & use them for some of your homework, they are not very expensive. Would take again!

Great professor, his format of teaching the class is interesting, entertaining & helpful. If a student is having trouble he won't move on until the student gets the subject. You really have to put your part into your work in order for him to care and for you to pass. Overall great professor, would take again!
