Comment:

He is like the evil math version of Uncle Phil. I had him for both Calc 2 and Calc 3 and got an A in both classes, so it's possible to succeed. My advice for tests: just review MyMathLab homeworks. He gives no study guides so that's literally all I did. Good luck my friends, for Mr. Booker's wild ride.

Part 5: More Things; He often erases the board several times when he works a problem, and gets lost in his work. He would take up to an hour on one question. On the final exam, he put questions that were not reviewed in neither quizzes nor homework. He often does attendance quizzes when large amounts of people leave class, so you might want to stay

Part 4: Other major things; Eat a big breakfast because he does not let you eat in class. He may not be in his office during his office hours. He is almost never on time to class. He usually shows up 5-10 minutes late. He grades pop-quizzes strictly. If you don't write solution set by your answer, for example, you might get points taken off.

Part 3: Lectures I took the Monday and Wednesday class, so class was 2hr and 30min long. If he went the whole 2hr 30min, he would not give us our required 10 minute break for every 50 minutes of class time. He uses MyMathLab and seems almost unfamiliar with the technology. He would often get lost in his own work and blame us for his mistakes.

On the first day, we had a full classroom of 35-40 students Now we are barely down to 15. During instruction he would spend hours on one question and he would load us with pop quizzes. He can be a hypocrite at some times he would be about helping out other classmates but he would get mad whenever we would. Just a few things. The last post says all.

some negative reviews were taken off so keep that in mind. his class is very boring because he wastes a lot of time. he over complicates simple stuff and confuses people. he hates foods and drinks so dont drink water in his vision, got it? he is not really respected, its like a substitute teacher teaching us. he does not respect students back.

I took this class in the summer and it wasn't that bad for me. I took precalc in high school and remembered it. This class is easy if you review notes from class and watch yt videos. He's a little confusing and can be disorganized so half my class dropped. He helped us a lot with accurate study guides. This was a pretty solid class for me. Easy A.

This was literally the most tedious and annoying class I think I've ever taken. He puts the wrong answers in for homework all the time and then won't correct them when you can't get it right. He's nice enough, but he's so condescending that it takes all semester for you to figure that out. Take literally any other professor if you have the chance.

I love math, but not when I'm taking it with Mr. Booker. He isn't a good teacher. He speeds through notes and forgets to post them on Moodle sometimes for a week or more. He introduces a concept then gives hard HW problems. Pop quizzes frequently. He does go over hard problems AFTER he gives them on quizzestestsHW. Attending class is important.

I love math. I have aced both calc 1 and 2. As of now I cannot expect an A from this professor. He is a nice person, however he is one of the worst teachers I have ever encountered. In my personal opinion he should not be teaching! He really does not care for his students. I love math and theory, but this guy is a piece of work. Don't take it!

If you are not great at math, then this is not the professor to sign up for! He is rude to students. He is sarcastic whenever you ask him a question, and he will not directly answer you. He does maybe 2 problems per class and expects you to learn on your own! DO NOT TAKE HIM.

All the work is online but you're given 4 tests in class (45% of your grade), the tests are hard and are cumulative, he drops your worst test. If a cell phone goes off in class and the responsible party doesn't come forth the entire class gets a 0 on a quiz grade. Given the high weight of tests, and overall structure of his class i say dont do it

Terrible at explaining. Terrible at teaching. Terrible at directions. If you are thinking about taking a class with him, I would definitely think twice. We reviewed simple things, how to plot a point, for a MONTH AND A HALF! He spent forever on the topics to where we had to squeeze the second half of the material into 20 minutes. DO NOT GET HIM!!!!

I took Mr.Booker for calc3. His course is difficult and disorganized. The day before the final he threw 9 topics at us that he didn't teach and wanted us to look over for the final along with everything else.He takes weeks to return papers and will not put grades online. I am writing this in December and my exam from September is not online yet.
