Comment:

Best professor I have EVER had. I definitely would take another class with him! He inspired me to pursue criminal justice further! He is very clear on what to study for tests in order to pass. He wants to see students do well and is very very helpful and will offer extra credit. Has good stories and a sense of humor. Highly recommend his classes.

Comment:

He is hilarious and uses vulgar language, which causes him to be cool. He was also an actual cop, so he helps talk about the material with real life examples he has had on the job. On the down side, all he does in his lectures is mumble definitions super fast and then show videos that don't always relate to the topic of discussion.

Attendance is unnecessary. Be ready to do all the studying yourself because all he does in class is list vocab definitions or play random you-tube videos. He gave no assignments, just a midterm and a final. He gives a study guide with all the questions and scrambled answers.

For those who think and expect to be spoon-fed the material and given answers to the exam, well this class IS NOT for you!! and maybe being at a university isn't either this is an upper division course and it focuses on application not just memorization. so you work for an earn your grade. it's simple just put the effort in and try you'll be fine

His notes have no structure and he talks very fast and quiet, so it's hard to know what is useful information and what isn't. His study guides are useless, as the questions are often way too broad to come up with one specific answer. He often makes offensive comments and gets side-tracked easily. Would not recommend taking his class.

He was funny and vulgar which made class interesting. He also talked about real life experiences he had. Notes were not posted online. Going to class was a must. Only 2 tests which were pretty straight forward. The class before he would go over everything that was on the test.

I have taken Dr. Frisorra for a few different classes now and this one was really interesting. Dr. Frisorra has lots of stories and is very knowledgeable on this subject. His tests are fair and if you do the required work this class is not hard to pass. He will keep you interested in the subject just show up for class and be involved.

This is one professor who wants you to pass, he actually wants you to learn what he's teaching. You need to make sure you attend class and pay attention, because it's not getting repeated, and NO, you can't have a copy of the notes emailed to you. Ask your neighbor.

Dr. Fisorra is the man. Honestly I'm taking other courses with different professors and nothing compares to his style of teaching. Very funny guy and is always open to answer questions, because he really knows his stuff. I'd recommend taking any class with him just for the fact that you learn a ton, yet at the same time your having a fun time.

Best and brightest professor at YSU..truly a wonderful experience to have had him instruct me...I have learned so much from him...more than any other professor I have ever had at YSU. Highly recommend and CJ student to definitely take his classes.

Doc Frissora is AWESOME. He gives you everything but the answer. You have to use your brain in this class or you fail. No attendance, but if you're smart, you'll be there. Ask questions, before/during/after... if you want to know, ask. Learn the importance of the "nickel".

Really funny guy, extremely smart too. Gives you an honest and realistic look at police work. Class is interesting because he bounces around from lecture to stories to random trips on youtube. Tests are a little crazy, but he gives bonus points. A must take!
