Wow...I sure learned a lot! All of the information is so beneficial to being a musician. I think Sly really cares about getting his students to master what he is teaching. **However, be very careful with this professor: His temper is unpredictable.

We're just a third of the way through, but it's been a great semester so far. The course is challenging, but not as hard as Dr. Sly's reputation. I think he's getting nicer. He knows so much about this stuff, it's crazy. But his explanations are very clear, and I understand what's going on!!! Thank you, Dr. Sly! Theory is my biggest fear.

Several prima donna 9-year-olds in the class, who slowed things down and made life a little uncomfortable occasionally, but Sly dealt with them. Fabulous class. Sly knows his stuff! Super teacher!

Dr. Sly is really tough, but if you do the work, you're guaranteed to learn A LOT. He's one of the biggest 'theory geeks' out there, but he's fun, intelligent, patient, and is just a really cool guy.
