Gregg Faller was the single greatest teacher I ever had. Anybody can show great movies and call it teaching, but Gregg presents outside the box. He encourages his students to experience and create film that anti-cliche. If you want "basket weaving" take another class. I took every class he taught Thanks to him,I've been in Hollywood for 11ys.

Great Professor! Interesting class! No text book required, but still be prepared to do lots of reading from his handouts! and you need to read b/c he gives pop quizzes! Fun atmosphere, you watch lots of movies! Have two essays to write that are worth a large percent of your grade! great class! just be prepared to read and write!

Fairly cool guy, good at teaching and knows his stuff. Reviews your editing work very close and gives you great advice. Overall a good teacher, the only pain are their quizzes; they are more tedious then anything.

I can only agree fully with all the positive comments that have already been posted. I have taken two classes with Prof. Faller and it has always been a great experience. His knowledge of film is astounding, and he is excellent at making sure you understand the material and concepts thoroughly. I can't recommend this professor highly enough.

Expected to hate this class, but love the course and a great guy. Kinda like your brother's the teacher, but he knows his stuff. Best part, unlike every other prof. you don't have to pay $100 for some book you never use...NO BOOK, packets he hands out.

Ridiculously interesting class! Challenging, but great. My mind is blown at how much Faller knows. He should go teach at NYU. I can never get anything by that guy. He's that cultured.

BEST PROFESSOR. i also have him as an advisor and it was the best choice ive made this year.EXTREMELY HELPFUL. loved the class. i had kelly boyd as a reviewer due to the partner situation but i really wish i had faller. he is tougher than the rest, but you'll really learn. EXTREMELY HELPFUL. he knows everything he teaches and it shows.

He's a really nice guy and will help you out. Tough on the grading, but you shouldn't skip over him just because of that. At the same time don't expect it to be easy - you'll have to edit at least 8 hours outside of class every week (but that's standard for any editing class). Final is fairly hard, and so are the quizzes, but the editing is fun.

Greg is a nice guy, and good as far as scheduling goes, he'll really bend over backwards to help you out there. However, he is a harsh grader. The final is 20% of the grade and most people just don't have time to read 60 pages a night (in addition to 8 hours of outside editing a week). Students who depend on As for scholarships should steer clear.

Without a doubt one of the very best teachers at Towson. This guy really goes above and beyond the call of duty to help his students out, and he's really good at explaining everything. There is no question about who you should take if you're doing editing - Faller's your guy! :)

oh man, greg is probably the best teacher you will ever have at towson. he is incredibly smart, but isn't arrogant about it. he's easily approachable and is always willing to help. trust me, no one is a better film teacher than greg. take any class you can with him...but if it's genre theory, ask him first what the genre will be.

Faller is the best professor and a role model, I have never had a better professor who made me work hard and learn. He is extremely knowledgable and works hard for the students, even hosting film festivals. You couldnt ask for a better teacher or advisor!
