He was absent all of the time. He was clearly anti-white, & introduced himself as a "derogatory term for a black man." He ended upfailing me, citing plagiarism, providing no proof, saying "it was too well written." I wrote it in 8th grade... After several meetings with him and the dean, he never showed up, & finally he was forced to fix my grade

Terrible teacher.Avoid at all costs.He was absent 3 times when the class was only once a week.A LOT of reading!10pg paper+Presentation+Essay+Quiz#2 and Final all given right before thanksgiving and all due consecutively.I didn't learn much and I'm pretty disapointed I didn't come out with more. Got a B+ and he curved but not worth it. learned nada.

Bad idea to take him for social issues. Other students I talked to had a very easy class while mine was boring. Also he likes to load on the work at the end of the semester due to his absences. i had him once a week and he was absent 3 times. best thing about his class is that he curves.

This man does not teach very well. He discusses different topics in class compared to the readings assigned each week. I have not learned much since being in his class, and his tests are a big mystery until it is right in front of you. I recommend staying far away from him, if possible.

He is not a bad guy, if you pay attention and show up for class you will do alright. He does assign a presentation, that he wanted to be 30mins long, which terrified most students.Participation is a big part of your grade. He is scattered about remembering things, and you usually have to remind him

Doesn't talk very clear, it's hard to understand him. Doesn't discuss readings in detail. Won't cut any work down especially when he's absent a lot. Likes to add more work to the syllabus when there's no time to do the work previously assigned! I Don't reccommend taking him!!!!

I received an "A" and he didin't treat me with kindness or respect EVER. It is one thing to have high expectations of your students, it is another to be self-righteous and audacious. Anyone who says otherwise, I am convinced, is either related to him or a cohort. I got an A, I give him a "F"

Not as nice as my other profs, but seems like a decent guy and isn't a bad prof by any means. Not neccesarily recommended, but if he's at a time that's convenient for you and you need it I would take him. Not an easy class, though. Gives review sheet, but it's not too helpful as it's very broad.

I really dislike Davis. He is very unclear and unfriendly. Part of the class was a joke but at the same time he is a hard grader and shows no interest in helping his students. He should remain the dean and stay out of the classroom!

Dr. Davis is an awesome professor as well as a good Dean. He is always willing to talk and communicate with students. Yes, it is true if you do not do the work, he will fail you. The work is hard, but if you do it and do it well, you will pass.

I thoroughly enjoy the civil rights movement but this guy is such a bad teacher. all he does is show us movies and goes off on tangents. we barely even used 1 of the 5 books. also he mistakenly gave me an F and it took me weeks to get it fixed!!!
