He's a great man, loves his job and his studies. Personally, not my cup of tea. LAC credit. Class was okay. Exams were tough. Study guides weren't always accurate with the tests. Pop "Atlas Quizzes" - not too hard, open book. "Map Quizzes" are not, STUDY! Use the resources he provides and you should pass those. Recommend if your a Geography Major.

James Dunn is phenomenal. He gives you all the tools you need to be successful on quizzes. To get a good grade in his class is just about doing the necessary work. His class isn't hard if you fill out the study guides and do the readings. As long as you get your stuff done you will be fine.

His quizzes and exams are SO HARD. This is my only 100 level class and I'm barely passing when I have A's in all my upper-level classes. Hardest class I've ever taken and it's impossible to study for the exams he gives. He gives a study guide that is irrelevant and makes you learn Inuit language of Native Americans. DO NOT TAKE.

I took this class my first semester of college and loved it so much. I actually learned lots of information in this class and enjoyed it so much. He is such a great professor who is very clear about what he expects from you. Every time I register for my next semesters classes I try to see if I can take another class with him!

Dr. Dunn is great! He makes class interesting. Map and atlas quizzes are pretty easy, but the exams are much more difficult. The homework never took more than 20 minutes per activity. Be sure to take good notes and ask questions because he is really good at explaining concepts.

I loved this class! Dr. Dunn is really caring about his students and the material that he teaches. He always has so many examples from his travels and relates them to the geography that we learn. The workbook activities are really easy and if you try them then you will get the full points. Just make sure to study for the exams and map quizzes.

Dunn is the head of the geography department and I think I would like him if I wasn't in geography. I hate the class personally but he is so passionate about his work and just wants to tell others. FOLLOW THE SYLLABUS! He does a lot of quizzes and atlas checks.

You can tell that Professor Dunn is really passionate about geography and he loves what he does. He is a really nice guy and makes the class fun. Class is fairly easy as long as you keep up on the homework and study for tests/quizzes.

Awesome professor with alot of experience, knowledge, and passion for the subject. As for class, the assignments and map quizzes are simple (just memorization), and power point lectures are straight forward. I would recommend reading the book a little though because the exams are a bit tricky.

Tests are hard. Study a lot for them. Points can be made up by homework and quizzes. Hard to get an A, but it is very easy to get a B. Talks about his own experiences and shows his own photos. Very interesting class...even at 8 in the morning.

Good professor that is willing to help you when you dont understand things. Every lecture has a powerpoint with helpful pictures of the topics. He is fairly funny which makes you pay attention to class a little more. I would take another class with him.
