Comment:
Adorable, loved by all his students. Prof Fisher is great. Not really what I expected from a Theology course: we discussed topics that are universal to all humans rather than just learning about religion. My class read 5 books, including The Autobiography of Malcolm X and Exiting Nirvana. Each book was intriguing and beneficial. I gained a lot.

Jersey Jim really is a class act. THE best professor I have ever had. While his class taught me a lot about American Studies, I learned even more about life. His appreciation for teaching and living are unmatched. His views of the world are truly inspiring. He will change your life forever.

BEST PROF EVER! He finds ways to tie together history and theology, and you definitely don't just get lectured in class. Really made me think. takes a few classes to get adjusted to his teaching style, but it's great once you do!

I took Major Developments in American Studies. To preface, Fisher's class is a great experience. I did almost all the readings and spoke a lot in a large class and got As. My friend skipped class a lot, spark noted the readings and spoke seldom. He got an A, I got an A-.

Really nice guy, extremely ADD. If you take him for Faith and Critical Reasoning, don't plan on learning anything about theology/religion. We studied Autism, Malcolm X, and the movie "On the Waterfront"--no joke. It should not be labeled as a theology course.

Took this Theology major class to meet a Core requirement. At first I really wanted to drop out; But I stuck it out and that decision turned out to be one of my best at Fordham. This man is very pleasant, down to earth, knows his material, easy grader, understanding. Even if your major has nothing to do with his class, I still recommend him. A++!

Prof Fisher is the best thing to happen to Fordham since...EVER!If I could take all my classes with him I would have switched my major. He made me like reigion (how often do u hear that?) Awesome guy, best prof at Fordham. Plus he finds a connection with every student based on where they're from- a little weird, but hilarious. He's a MUST!

He is very kind. Easy readings. Easy grader. Class can get boring quick if you aren't religious. Class led to serious criticism of my religious beliefs. There was a final group project involving reasearching a site of relgious importance. Easy
