He gives a good lecture, I will say that. But that's where the good ends. He's very inflexible about research topic and paper, he's a snob and judgemental, and on the whole lacks empathy and understanding. I don't think he's a good teacher. Really strange personality but hides it. Should retire.

Dr. Jeffers is a wonderful professor who teaches courses ancient and medieval world with a specialization on religion. Students who take his courses can usually find him in his office between classes, and he is always willing to give constructive feedback. While he is gentle, he has a very rigid standard for where he expects his students to aim.

One of my best experiences yet. First a qualification: I rated Dr. Jeffers "lower" on Easiness because I am a grad student; an "Easy A" would be an insult, as far as I am concerned. Now that that's out of the way, I have enjoyed working with Dr. Jeffers this semester. I would highly recommend him. He is clear and fair, and the course rocks.

Very clear in his lectures (and just lectures). For a Theory and Practice of History class which is the first stepping stone for history majors, he doesn't give much assistance in class to show research with topics and writing; which SHOULD be essential and more than just a quarter of the class. Be wary the topic for class is hard to find sources!

Do your reading. Do your questions. Participate. It is that simple. There are no surprises. If you don't do these few tasks you can't expect to pass the class. Good luck!

Hes a good professor his curriculum is straightforward. In his 120 you are mostly pair up with groups and you guys work together to write down some questions. 4 midterms one paper due at the end of the semester He grades tough and is WAY TOO STRICT on attendance I would like if he was more understandable that we had other classes not just his

Professor Jeffers is very knowledgeable on the subject of History. At first you might be feeling that this class will be tough because there is tons of reading and lecture videos, but overall if you keep up you will do fine. His grading is kinda tough, but overall is very straightforward. If you ask him question with history he will answer alot.

Jeffers is clear in his lectures, but tends to be boring most of the time (which makes it very hard to stay focused during class). He isn't very helpful and not clear in his directions for the homework assignments. Many students had to redo their assignments and turn them back in. I wouldn't recommend him for any class.

Dr. Jeffers is a really thorough professor. He obviously loves his subject and tries to make it as interesting as possible. To all of those who complain about reading,DUH!!!!! IT'S HISTORY! ALL YOU DO IS READ, WRITE, AND ANALYZE!!! If you hate reading, learn to tolerate it (I gurantee it will help). If you're a history major, this class is legit.

This class is an easy A. He gives you a study guide before each test. All you have to do is just memorize the material. He posts short lectures on blackboard which have most of the answers to the study guide questions, so you don't have to read the book. Although, he recommends it. He is a vary vary sweet teacher.

Dr. Jeffers is one of the most effective history professors on campus. He always shows interest in what he is teaching and helping his students. While some might complain about his general usage of a lot of reading material, this is absolutely what should be expected of students taking upper division history courses.I would always recommend him.

this professor was not good. lectures were long & boring. I took his online class. He only gives you 30 minutes to take an entire exam!! we tried asking for more time & he said "no" that it was our fault for not finishing. his 2 written ?'s he doesn't tell you he only wants 2 sentences, so instead people ended up writing an entire paragraph.

I would not recommend Jeffers. His lectures are very boring and always off topic. He shows up late for class almost everyday and then expects the c class to stay 5 minutes over so he can finish his lecture. He is unorganized and in my opinion does not know what he is talking about. It is an easy class, but not really worth it.
