While she was not the worst math teacher i have had. . it was close, my bigest problem was that her tests did not seem to be nearly as related to the lectures or book as they should have been. very hard class. those who knew math still dropped. ended up with about 4 people in class that had more than 30 to begin with. thats saying something

This was the first class I ever dropped. Not because of bad grades (I was getting a B+) but because of her. Jane Millar is an incredibly intelligent person but she does not make a good teacher. She seemed basically unable to explain the subject with even a shadow of clarity.

I am math-challenged and still got a B, I don't know what these other people are talking about. Sure, she's not Ms. Personality, you won't see her on The Tonite Show anytime soon. Her lectures are good, despite what these people tell you. Apply yourself, work hard, you'll do fine.

I wasn't much of a math person going into her class, but after I squeeked by with a C (I had already taken Calculus in high school) I was permanently scarred. I don't have anything to add, I just want to reinforce. Expect to learn calc on your own, and probably not very well at that.

Millar concentrates her class on nit-picky things. Like wether you happen to know what cos(5*3pi/2) without a calc, not the principles of the math. *LOTS* of people dropped. Millar missed like 5 or 6 classes. Confusing, AVOID!
