Comment:

Professor Myers is a very nice and understanding lady. She sets clear expectations, and they were very reasonable given that most kids in my class were not English majors. She prepares you well for papers and both tests, and as long as you put the effort in to reading a few times during the week, she makes sure you do well. Participation is key.

Comment:

I thought Dr. Myers was an excellent teacher for British Lit! She is concise, knowledgeable, sweet, but also expects a lot of participation, so if you want to get on her good side, speak out enough in class. I thought she was a reasonable grader and I enjoyed most of her classes, although they did follow the same format. Would highly recommend her!

Didn't really learn anything new in this class. Tough grader, but very nice to talk to. Not the best class to take unless your an english major. She expects you to be passionate about her class, which is hard because it was boring most of the time.

It felt like I was in high-school again. I learned nothing new, and her lesson plans were either repetitive or unnecessary. Tough grader, but grading rubric is clearly outlined before each assignment. I don't recommend her if you want to learn something new and interesting each day.

Great professor. Lots of reading and assignments, but she always lets you know exactly what she wants. I'm not exactly crazy about Victorian Literature, (who really is, honestly), but she made it interesting.

Comment:

Myers gave WAY too much reading for this course, even though it was a literature course. Sometimes we'd have 120 or so pages to read in one night. Books were boring, and so was class. She's not easy. I wouldn't recommend her in upper level classes.

I had her for the Community Service Class and even though everyone in the class was on the same floor, we all had no idea what was going on. Doesn't give enough time inbetween papers. Wouldnt recomend if you dont like teachers who use the overhead.
