My section was specific to bioscience majors, and I loved it. Jenny did a great job of tailoring the material to the class and was flexible with due dates when asked. Assigned papers weren't too long and the books we read were actually interesting.

For an English comp class the atmosphere was very laid back but the expectations of the assignments were very clear. Read the assigned books and participate in class discussion, put effort into the papers and projects and it's not hard to get a decent grade in her class.

Interested in what she's teaching. Gives a 15 minute leeway after class has started for students who have a longer walk between classes to get to her classroom. Available during office hours and happy to meet with students and make adjustments to help the student succeed.

Jenny is very relaxed and pushes back due dates a lot. It's nice because she is very flexible and understanding if you need more time. She also gets that students are stressed about finals and we did nothing after thanksgiving break, which was a huge relief.

Great teacher! As long as you keep up and get the assignments done, you will be fine. And even though she grades kinda hard, you can redo every assignment so just ask her what to improve. I got behind so it was harder but she was understanding and gave me extensions. But DON'T fall behind. It's an interesting class, I liked it!

Jenny was a very nice teacher and very helpful. We got to rewrite all our papers and she gave a lot of feedback. I do not think this class was challenging but it was interesting. If you are looking for a biology focused english class that is prety simple good class to take!

She is a very hard grader and it is so surprising because when you go in and talk to her she is says that it's good but when it's time to turn it and get a grade back it is not what she said. She is SO late on turning paper's back. I can't believe I got my final grade because I worked very hard in this class.

Jenny runs the class very unprofessionally. She makes assignments and projects seem unimportant even though they are your grade. She allows rewrites on all of the papers and she sends helpful comments in emails to guide your rewrite. Attendance is mandatory. It seems like you're failing, but your grade ends up being much better than anticipated.

Pretty helpful, but it was a friggin microbio learning community and im an LAS major, hence it was confusing. However, I thought would get a low D in the class but ended up with a B+. I was t.o.'ed to learn that all my friends in english 105 hardly had any work, but Jenny makes you work your butt off.

Jenny was a very good professor. She was very helpful whenever you needed her, and was always reachable. I had a few problems with her forgetting about my questions, but only very sporadically. She grades hard, but let's you know exactly what you need to do to bring a paper up to "A" level and lets you turn in multiple revisions. Great teacher!
