I took him for summer II. I followed the paper examples he provided for students, but always disappointed in my grade. I questioned him on several things on my papers, and his answers back were rude. Online test are hidden so you have no clue what you missed. I'm a AB student and made a C in this class. I wouldn't recommend him.

Assignments are fairly straight forward but his methods of grading are all over the place. One paper I thought I did amazing on he gave me an 80 and then one I literally threw something together he gave me a 96. It can just be a tad frustrating. There really is no method to the madness. Other than that, not bad!

Good luck in 1301. There's few americans that know how to speak proper English anyways so taking his class will help you toward that goal. Now 1302 was a lot more demanding with all the papers, reading, research papers, tests, and daily assignments but who offers you 40 points extra credit, so if you don't make an A that's on you. I had Mr. Brooks over ten years ago. He is the teacher I remember most fondly when I think of my time at Panola. I have since gone on to medical school and obtained an M.D., and to this day I remember the little grammar tricks that he taught me. Many of my professors after Mr. Brooks told me that I wrote very well--to his credit, I am certain.

I didn't think he was a bad teacher at all. You just have to watch your mechanical sentence errors, but that is any English class. He is also really helpful. I also took him for Brit Lit. He teaches that really well, and it is pretty easy. I made A's in both classes.
