Jeff overall is a very kind and stand-up guy but his lectures put you to sleep, and I am not one to get sleepy in classes. He explains things directly from the book, or powerpoint, and doesn't put anything else into it. ANYBODY could do what he does and do it the exact same. All he does is go by powerpoint, and then you're on your own. Nothing more

He has average knowledge about networking and cisco compared to other instructors. he has yelled at my class on more than one occasion and does not explain anything to you. so if your wrong he does not tell you why its wrong. he also contradicts himself a lot. AVOID.

Horrible. He yells at the kids when they try reading the material by themselves or go ahead of class. He demands respect and undivided attention. Ridiculous teacher. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Jeff gets upset when students don't pick up material right now. Doesn't seem to like it when questions are asked. Rarely gives direct answer to questions asked. his answers are generally a sarcastic comment on how the student is "off in the weeds".Never answers emails. Arrogant. Doesn't give much time to take notes, just flys through lecture. AVOID

Jeff has zero concern for student success, and even less patience for the "slow" students. Its almost as if he expects people to know what they are doing before they enter the classroom. If we already knew this stuff, why would we need to take a class to learn it? Several times, he got impatient with students and raised his voice in tone and volume

I passed this class with a decent grade, but I really feel for the students who struggled with the material. It seems like there is no concern for those who lag, or have difficulty understanding the information right away. Prof had little patience or willingness to help students, and even became short with at least 2 students who didn't "get it."

poor at explaining the material itself. very little structure to the class or the material. when students get behind and ask for help or clarification, he gets impatient, rude, and pushy. If you have any kind of learning disabilities, avoid this prof at all cost. i took this same class with a different prof the following semester and got an A....

Easy and and almost impossible not to get 100% on all the quizes, which are online and can be taken open note and as many times as you want. All the Exam questions are on the quizzes, so if you study them you'll do well on those, too. You kinda learn on your own a bit with this one. Getting a good grade is easy, absorbing the material is up to you.

Jeff is a good teacher when it comes to explaining things and teaching the class. Also he can be very unhelpful when you send him emails, he doesnt respond at all. Finds excuses when needs to do his part of work.

Honestly, I think Jeff isn't nearly as bad as some people say. He is knowledgeable and approachable, and his classes are well-organized. If he yells at or gets annoyed with you, you probably weren't paying attention. As long as you read the material, show up, pay attention, and follow instructions you won't have any problems with him or his class.

Jeff is a very knowledgable instructor, but the way he teaches could be considered rude. He doesn't explain assignments and projects very well in class, then tells you to refer to notes when you don't get it. Not much help. The online portion of the class is completely useless aside from other students responding.

Jeff realy knows cisco and he presents the material well. However, when asked questions after the lecure he tends to be rude and ignored me several times during this class along with others. He would also tend to almost yell at students if they would configure somthing wrong. Overall, smart instructor but can be rude and unprofesional.

Jeff does not care to go out of his way to help you learn. He was obviously not interested in the content of this class and is extremely rude to anyone that he assesses as incompetent. Multiple times I asked him questions that he said "He would get back to me on" and he never followed through.

I can easily say that I have had better instructor. When the class would ask him a question he was snotty at times and seemed on edge every once in a while. I was afraid to ask him questions at times because of this. The book was great and the syllabus was strait forward. The class was a little overwhelming if you have never touched a Cisco router.

I took Net Essentials. Jeff is an ok instructor. He is Easy going but I didnt like meeting every other week and getting big packets. If you like doing stuff on your own with little help you'll do good! I would strongly recomend the books! You may not find all the awnsers if you dont have the books!
