Dr. Madura is honestly one of the nicest professors that I have ever had. He gives lots of helpful criticism on your quizzes, and actually cares. However, his class is exceptionally hard. There will be a fifty point quiz every week worth fifty points, and the average grade is not very good. There will be lots of free points and the class is curved.

I had Madura for P. Chem for Life Sciences. It was an awesome class. He taught things at a relatively understandable level (with occasional mathematical magic I'm still not quite sure is real). His exams are somewhat difficult. DO THE HOMEWORK. Most of the short answers on the quizzes are modifications on assignments. He will help you if you try.

he is an excellent teacher, and tries to make sure the majority of the class is understanding him. his tests were insanely difficult, but he graded fairly. i learned a ton from him and would recommend taking his class if your a chem/biochem major, he gives you a great background for H. organic. also has a good sense of humor.
