Nice prof, not a huge fan of his lectures but his textbook was pretty easy to read (albeit lengthy) and contained practical info, unlike the first year textbooks. Practice midterm was very similar to the actual which was great. Final was harder, would've been nice to have practice questions for that.

He mumbles through his class, and has a mistake-riddled textbook. I question whether he read it over before he published it. I'm sure he's a good guy, but he needs to slow down when he speaks.

He wrote his book in a day without proof-reading and his classes are about as entertaining as watching paint dry. Can't really understand him because he mumbles or fails to make an effort to speak clearly. Overall, just a poor style.

jerzy is my boy, but this man his hard as hell to understand and his textbook did not make ANY sense LOL it would contradict itself on the regular its 40/60 split. but he's blessed cause if you screw up on the midterm he'll shift the weight to the final

I personally couldn't understand him, despite trying. Regardless, everything he goes over in class is reiterated on the slides he posts and explained in even more detail in his textbook which is very helpful. It is split 40/60 for midterm/exam, and I found studying from the text was the best way to understand everything.

Small accent but you easily adjust to it. Has great slides that cover everything in the textbook. Is clear about what to expect on tests. Will often use clicker questions on midterm and final exam, as well as midterm questions on the final exam.

His textbook is really helpful and you don't need to go to lectures if you read it. He writes it himself and it wasn't near as expensive as a regular textbook. He is nice and explains things well. His lectures are a little boring but so is the content. He has an accent but he's not hard to understand.

One of the worst profs I've ever had. Just reads the slides and makes no attempt to ensure that students understand before moving on. He thinks that its okay that 50% correct on a clicker question (that goes towards a final grade) is okay, and that it doesn't reflect poorly on his teaching abilities.

Honestly i didnt pay attention to his class almost ever but he tried hard to keep students interested and tried to help everyone. if he seemed rude maybe its because students are constantly talking and leaving in the middle of his lecture and disrupting the class...very good prof.

To be honest, I don't understand the negative comments. He is an interesting prof who tries hard to help his students. His exams are very fair. His "in the news" section keeps things fresh, and he often tells applicable stories that help put the (somewhat dry) material in context. It was a pleasure having him as my prof!
