I had also had a creative writing class with her. I felt that she had improved from world lit because i found the syllabus to be surprisingly easy to follow - was mistaken! Her exam had nothing to do with what she told us it would be on. She also took my journal and ripped it up. It had notes for my other finals in it. This professor takes the cake

She's extremely intelligent and could be a wonderful professor, but her abrasive nature ruins the class. She often ignores questions in class or interrupts you when you are talking, even if you're on topic...she always comes off as rude even when she might not mean to be. The class is difficult and she questions you on insignificant details.

Dr. LeCoeur is the worst professor I have ever had. She is rude and shows a heavy bias towards certain students. Reading the material does not guarantee you will be able to answer the questions she will spring on you. She refuses to answer questions during class. And will ramble throughout the entire class about unrelated topics.

I'd like to address the low ratings: if you are a lazy, unmotivated student, then you WILL do poorly in Dr. LeCoeur's courses. Yes, things like "authors' names" are indeed relevant for Lit courses. Do the reading, show up for class, and I guarantee that you will learn a lot. It's college; Dr. LeCoeur teaches accordingly. You might (gasp) enjoy it.

Attendance is mandantory if you want to receive the full 20% of your participation grade. Will ask you questions over the reading. Requires strange, but easily written 250 word assignments. Her exams... she tests you over irrelavant things: "author's names" along with random references to material read, during the "close book" part of the test.

By far the worst professor I have had at UIW. She loves nothing more than to hear herself talk and asks irrelevant questions about the reading, expecting you to remember the most insignificant details of the reading. She is rude and will never listen to questions, even if they are lucid and relevant. Oh, and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

Dr. LeCour is one of the worst professors that I've taken. She refuses to answer questions during class, even if the questions are relevant to the topic. You MUST read the book. And she will randomly call on people to answer questions, and will call you out for not reading.

The class is really fun even the final was fun you get to work with a classmate to create a story. Everyone reads a created story about twice, have something ready always in case you get drafted to share. the class critiques your work, people are very encouraging and helpful.Only ten stories necessary for the portfolio, no length requirement.

Dr. LeCoeur is a great professor! She gives four 250 word essays, one midterm, one final. Attendance is not mandatory but like many courses you really dont want to miss out on a lecture since it might be on the tests. Very fair grading and very interesting discussion. I definitely did learn a lot about other cultures.

Took her for american lit . The class is little different from a comp 1/2 class. You will listen to crummy student lectures THE WHOLE SEMESTER (she never teaches). Very boring (you will have read half of the stories in comp 1/2 or HS). She is very abrupt...but welcome to college. Get over it. 1 paper, 1 presentation, 1 final. i give the class a C-

That last word is ignored. She keeps her office hours and is very open to you but don't try to get out of your work, you will fail just as in real life. She may seem abrupt, and even rude. Get over this attitude and you will find yourself looking back at this class and saying WOW! I learned alot!!!

Dr. Le Cour is a very enthusiastic, intelligent instructor. She is the Marine Corps of the English Dept.. If you are looking for an easy A, forget it. You must do your job as a student (readings, papers, etc)which is why you are in college, right? If you do not, you will be considered as wasting everyone's time who did thework, and you will be i

Dr. Lecoeur is undoubtedly one of the best professor's ever, in my opinion. If you're looking for an easy A, do not register for her class. She is demanding; however, if you do care and do make an effort, she goes above and beyond to help you do well. I learned more than I signed up for (and that's a good thing!).

A tough teacher, but will assist you all she can. She does expect you to read the books and write the papers. But that's her job!! Duh. . . . Is this still High School? This is a University level course.. So if you can't do the work, go someplace easier!!!

Dr. LeCoeur is a tough professor. You must work hard. I had took Creative Writing with her in the Fall of 2000 and couldn't meet her expectations. Looking back now, LeCoeur was not as bad as some people I have worked with after working in the real world.

I didn't like her at all. Her teaching style is so abrupt, random, and lacks structure. She brings in stuff like magazine clippings and things that pertain to the lesson of the day and that's cool. She asks the most random and detailed questions on quizzes, stuff that NO ONE remembers! Ridiculous.
