Great prof, but his class is hard. (Theatre in English Canada) He will make you work for your grade. But you leave having read a lot of plays. He also uses quite a bit of French terms and phrases, so be warned if you're anglophone. (I'm anglophone and I was fine, but some others complained)

A great deal of the time I had NO IDEA what he was talking about. He speaks in abstract concepts, which is rather difficult to take notes on.

i don't know whats wrong with the peeps, Joel Beddows is a beautiful man, physically yes, but his passion is theatre and he does so much and in turn his students walk away brighter more aware and ... sigh ... an inspirational prof.

He made the subject matter, that was often dry, as interesting as he could. He is very helpful and accommodating to his students and attempts to help them in any way he can. The pop quizzes however, were not very much fun . . .

Great prof but gives a LOT, I say again a LOT, of work and especially readings! And he likes to give pop quizzes worth THIRTY PERCENT of the final grade. Prepare to work VERY VERY HARD! Otherwise he's great and really understanding if you get to know him.

Lectures very interesting and detailed and reflect his intellegence in the subject matter. Course work not difficult but time consumming. He is a very fair marker and very understanding.
