He's hilarious and definitely knows his stuff, but I just took his PR final and it was the hardest final I've taken in law school. If you're taking him, be prepared in class, even footnotes. Also, i have to reiterate that that final was brutal..

Comment:

Yes, he is hard. But you learn a on of information. He is a great teacher. He might come off a little abrasive in class, but that's only because he truly cares about his students success. He is awesome outside of class and will happily entertain any question you have and talk to you about anything else you feel like talking about.

Very dedicated to the material, willing to answer questions, and clear. He can be very abrasive to unprepared students. He does move slowly and gets behind in the syllabus, so pay attention to the last few readings, because he will blow through a month's worth of material in 2 hours at the end.

He follows the Restatement and the text book very closely. He is extremely organized and a very clear speaker. Probably one of the best at Loyola. However, you must be prepared for class, as he will randomly pick on people.

Prof. Breen love teaching Prof. Resp. and it shows. He is excited about the material which makes the class more interesting. I haven't seen any disrespect of students, but I heard his 1L contracts class is very different than Prof. Resp. Don't let his contracts class dissuade you from his Prof. Resp. class.

One of the best professors at Loyola. Must come prepared, but will learn (and remember) everything he teaches you. Has a way of explaining things clearly and challenging students to work hard. I worked on a commercial sales case at work after taking this class, and was praised for my work because of this class.

Fantastic teacher. Everything a law professor should be. Like someone else said, he's tough - but too bad, you want to be a lawyer, you better be prepared to be on your toes. Learned so much from this professor.

I agree w/ other comments - this was my toughest class so far and the final was brutal, but I learned a TON. Class was demanding, but never boring - I recommend it 100%.

I've had Prof. Breen for four classes. Sure, he can be arrogant, and his exams are difficult. And you'd better show up prepared for class, or you'll look like an idiot. But guess what? That's what being a lawyer is all about - preparation. Outside of class, he is very friendly (ask about his kids) and willing to help if asked.
