for this to be a beginer's class in socy. i thought there was way too much information. he is very boring and just lectures most of the class. Most of the info is also boring and he cares about tiny details. he made us sit and work in groups in a class of over 100 people. i hated this class.

BEWARE! This class is kind of easy but his notes are impossible to understand which makes it a lot more cumbersome. Our first test took him a month ( no joke) to grade and our second took over two weeks! He always seems to be in his own little world and his exam reviews are terrible. Personally, I would avoid if possible.

I dont know what the last person is talking about but we def did not start with 80 people and we have more than 30 left. I didnt even study for the 1st test and got an 87. At least half of the questions are common sense

lol do not take him, all those comment he is the one that post them, trust me,i read every chapter before the test and the question are not from the book, he made the question up, so no, trust me on this, we started with around 80 people, and after the second test only 30 left in the class, do not take him trust me on this,

Professor Sharp is easy, but it's so terribly boring. I had an interest in sociology, and I still do because it kind of is an interesting topic, but the way he teaches it kind of ruined it for me. He's very nice, and the tests are easy, but if you actually want to have fun in a class, I would advise to take maybe as a second to last resort.

Really nice guy, but his voice kind of goes up and down in tone with a rythm, he goes on tangents and makes a few lame jokes...don't take this class early in the morning. He posts the notes, gives you a study guide and is happy to answer questions. He somehow managed to offend some people in my class-not too sure how. oh and the book is expensive!

Easy class but soo boring! He goes off on random tangents that have nothing to do with what's going to be on the test. He does cheesy group work activities that help slackers but sometimes hurt those who study and do well. Didn't cover a lot of the things in the book that I thought he would. I wouldn't recommend him.

Took him for social problems and it is the most boring class I have this year. He is a nice teacher and he can be funny, but the material and the way he presents it is boring. Plus he takes attendance, so you can't skip!

Very easy, sit on front row and you can leave every day after signing attendance. No need to take notes. Study guide is the same as test. That is all you have to do. EASY A. The only problem with Sharp is that he is very Liberal!!!! Us smart business students dont like that.

I really enjoyed this class. I can see where some people wouldn't. His lectures are a little long winded. But he does a good job of getting you involved in the material. Best advice is to stay on top of the material it can pile on quick. I would recommend this class to anyone.
