I took him for Junior drawing (I wanted to get into his Junior painting but he stopped teaching it my year), Symbolic Imagery, and Senior Painting. By far the best professor I've ever had. He's seen and done it all. The most knowledgable person about art that I've met. Take him for at least one class! Oh and be sure to ask about all of the visualization techniques he's picked up from around the world, from buddhist monks to spelunking with no light or sensory deprivation.

Jo is a REALLY nice and sweet guy. He has much respect for everyone and will definitely take your work seriously. If you're looking for an easy way out, take his class; if you want to be pushed hard- don't take his class. CAUTION- as he can be very interesting, he talks WAY to much...

This guy's something of a living legend at Pratt. It seems like everybody's taken his class, and his students' students now teach. He pushes hard, but he's incredibly helpful. He can relate his vast knowledge to your specific interests. Take his class!!!
