attendance is required but if I missed every class it wouldn't of made a difference cause you don't learn anything. all his tests are online and they are so easy. all he does is play loud music that gives people headaches and talks on and on.

Honestly just show up. Being in class is where most of your grade come from. All quizs and exams are online. On those days you can stay in your dorm. Normally when hes done with attendence he gives you the option to leave. DONT LEAVE! When you stay it gives him time to get familar with the ones who want to learn and that helps when grades come out.

He is a great guy, very fun and easy class. He plays the piano, and all we do is listen to lectures in class. Easy A. Get a real clicker, not the app. He takes attendance with it, don't miss it or there's no getting credit for being there, I was only 5 minutes late. Also the book/access code is not required to succeed. I haven't even read it.

I'm not a music major, just needed an extra class. This class is so easy and Juan is so much fun. For any class with a clicker, get the real thing. The app doesn't always work. This class is so easy, all you do is sit and listen to music for an hour. Juan plays the piano, and says funny things. Practice questions in class are on tests. Easy class.

This class is an easy A. All answers to the quizzes come from his practice quizzes. To get A's on his tests, study the practice quizzes online. The final exam is the all the questions from the first 2 tests so make sure you keep those. Takes attendance with clicker. Took this as a gen ed and sat on my phone the whole semester.

Lectures are long and boring. He isn't clear on what information you actually need to know, kind of rambles on. Does make jokes and plays the piano a lot. Does clicker attendance, I suggest you get the app on your phone and stay in bed to take the clicker quizzes because he doesn't actually grade them. You aren't missing anything if you don't go.

If you want to get an easy A, I definitely recommend the class. Half the time we sit in the back of the classroom on our phones and still get grades in the 90s on our exams. The exam questions are also all practice quiz questions recycled from blackboard. His participation is based on iclicker questions on the board so someone else can sign you in!

LaManna is awesome. He's very fair and understanding. Also, he has an obvious passion for music, making the class much more entertaining. He would often play piano and give us video examples. This was by far my favourite class and the reason why I picked up the audio design and production minor. Great class!

Really passionate about his subject. Also part of the school's music program. Enjoys talking about the history and where music came from. Requires you to think differently about music. Class was kind of a joke. He put every exam up on blackboard so all you had to do was study those questions and you'd get a 100 on the tests. He loves what he does and is funny. Takes attendance with a clicker. I can honestly say I never listened to a word he said .. just do the work and you'll get an A. About as easy as a gen-ed can get.

Professor LaManna is a cool guy that is wildly passionate about his subject. He tries to convince you that everything he is saying will change your life, it's kind of funny. His class isn't difficult, he literally tells you every question that will be on the test. No tricks here just a simple Gen-Ed. Does take attendance via clicker EVERY DAY

The lectures may be one of the most boring you'll ever hear, but Juan La Manna is a great man that has a big interest in his subject. There is a good amount of work (4 essays, 3 tests, online quizzes) but if you do all the work you will have no problem getting an A. If you do amazing work, he will give out grades higher than 100%. Highly recommend.

Hard to understand and does ramble but the class is interesting and fairly easy so he makes up for it. Don't use your phone in class and bring your iclicker. He is also hilarious.
