The class is hard, not because she makes it hard its just a difficult class. She actually told us its the most dropped course at NHMCCD. You do have to read and do all of your assignments in this class. Ive always struggled at English but she has helped me a great deal and went out of her way to do so, If you have her help you youll get an A.

Very tough class. Great teacher though. She's professional and if you ask for guidance she is more than willing to help you. Do the assignments, follow instructions, ask for help when you need it and you'll do just fine. No free ride but you'll learn something!!

Teacher was very unreasonable about grades, and said to the class "Who's going to remember Stephen King in 10 years? He's not a good writer!" She can't even respect the fact that he is a reputable author and pushes her opinion on everyone. She's the worst English teacher I ever had! And I made A's in all my other English classes!

This is a great teacher! She really knows literature and is very supportive of her students. She take time to help you nurture your talents and help you with your weaknessess! Take her for any English class and you will enjoy it and come away with some real knowledge for you time and money.

I had Prof. Olson this past spring, and I thought she was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She was passionate about her subject, she cared about her students, and she went out of her way to help people--even the slugs like the ones on this page who complained she was tough. I'd take her again for sure. It's rare to find a teacher this

She was very hard. You are required to read and take quizes over every story and poem you read. Her tests have hard essays. I worked my butt off in that class and got a "C". My other 2 English classes with Doug Boyd (who is way hard), I got "A"'s.

She is a great teacher! I've taken two of her classes and enjoyed both of them. A lot of people complained because of all the reading assignments, but I think that should be expected of a college english class... If you keep up with the work her classes are very easy. Plus she is really easy to talk to if you have any questions.

She gives lots of reading but she is clear in class--and there are no surprises at test time. Class discussion matches the tests. Best of all, she loves the literature and loves her students. She bends over backwards to help students and is on their side. TAKE THIS TEACHER! SHE's GREAT!
