Never really knew what was going on in class. He spent a lot of time dealing with technical issues and communication issues. If you paid attention to the assignments you passed. He was very nice about talking to me when I had concerns about criteria

Comment:

Lecture-heavy, doesn't really answer questions and talks in circles. Does not respond well to being corrected when he misrepresents information (such as "Irish" being a language, the language is Gaelic, the people are Irish). Easy course to pass, but I would not take it again, I learned nothing.

I took this 1 credit online class just so that I could still be a full time student. WORST CLASS I'VE EVER TAKEN. For a one credit class, the amount of work that needs to be done is absolutely ridiculous. This professor not only doesn't give you enough information about the assignments, but is crabby when you email him with questions!!

Taking his class now and he can't even teach research class. He can't write English properly. No clear instruction about assignments. Random emails sent to us students with no clear instruction what to do. Don't take the class if you are want a good research learning skill.

I had Darboe for First Year Experience and it was so easy it was almost a joke. We didn't do much of anything besides visit places you wouldn't know about unless you took the class. Overall, nice and funny if you get him going. Somewhat hard to understand.

I liked this teacher a lot. It seams that he is fond of this subject and knows that people don't care about it, but anyways is fond of what he is teaching. Exams are the reviews he gives you before the exam. All you have to do is learn about 50 sentances(not that much) wich sometimes turn to be interesting.

If you take this class and dont pass it there is something wrong with you. All you do is either watch a movie or listen to him ramble on for 3+ hours about race. Extremely boring but incredibly easy. His review sheets are word for word what is on the test except some (not all of) the words are rearranged. Looking for an easy A, take this class!

WE have had him online and getting things straigh with him as been hell, Also when you try to communicate with him he does always get back to and sometimes when he does he is totally missing the point of what you are trying to say. Been very frustrating class so far.

The class is boring and I seriously do not think I learned anything. It is SUPER easy to pass the class with an A. Memorize the study guides he gives you, the questions on the exams are EXACTLY like the guides, down to the last word. He uses the same questions from the worksheets you do as well.

Darboe is a little hard to understand at times but the material and class notes makes up for it. He's fairly lax and offers great study guides. The guides will help you litterally ace the tests.
