He is an extremely difficult professor. Class where students should study 3 hrs. outside of class for every hour in class. READING IS REQUIRED FOR SOCRATIC DAYS EVERY FRIDAY. Tests are very difficult but come from readings and class lectures. This class can be fun and hard at times which don't go together....If your wanting an EASY A....get lost

Dr. Gilbreath is a very good professor who made the very boring topic of Business History somehow fairly interesting. He knows his stuff and loves to answer just about any question, even if it has nothing to do with the class.

Dr. Gilbreath is honestly one of the kindest human beings you will ever come across. I find him funny when he talks about the generation gaps and kind of rambles off. He actually answers questions for you for any class you have at the start of class, not just his. A helluva guy really, nothing but good things to say about him.

I never took his classes, but on the Baylor in Great Britain trip, we had some awful travel experiences, and Dr. Gilbreath and his wife "adopted" us and took care of us. He even bought us food when we said we were too upset to eat, because he said we "needed to eat." A very kind, caring man.

This guy thinks he's the shizzle...the class is not all that interesting unless you are motivated to know the history of economics...i found socratic fridays to be unproductive because of how intimidating he was.

He is the best Teacher at Baylor. Has written a lot of books and worked for the Federal Reserve. He is clear and humorous! You will learn a lot. He can answer almost any question you ask and will take the class out to his ranch at the end of the sem.
