Kent was a great professor, he lectured really well and he has so much life experiences in the field he knows exactly what he is talking about. They were funny and the exercises he made us do were fun learning experiences. The test are not hard as long as you study the material because you will not do well if you don't.

What an awesome Professor! There is no better way to learn about a subject than to be taught by someone who has lived what they are teaching. Pollock knows what he is talking about. I really enjoyed this class. I learned and retained a lot of great information. Take him! Not to mention he is a great person, caring, helpful and understanding.

I absolutely love Mr. Pollock. He's knowledgeable about his subject, he's very helpful and willing to go over a subject until everyone understands. His videos though old and sometimes boring, actually help with assignments and tests. take him. he's great!

Seriously, he's the best. One of my favorites. He knows what he's talking about and he makes it interesting. He's personable, and he cares about you learning, rather than cheating you out of points. Gives feedback and allows for a lecture to turn into conversation about journalism. LOVE THIS CLASS.

Mr. Pollock is a great teacher, especially if you are interested in Journalism. Will let you hand in work early for critique before giving you a grade. Shows a lot of videos that are relevant to the lecture. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should go to all the classes because you might get extra credit for showing up.

Kent Pollock is a great teacher. He knows journalism in and out as he is full of experience. He plays a lot of movies but they help explain the lectures! Very easy going instructor, allows make up work! Just show up and pay attention!! He is very kind, so take the class if you are interested in reporting and writing.

Interesting mentor from the field; but other than that, he doesn't have enough structure to teach. He is unclear about what is expected of you to learn about throughout the course and the $100 book is never referenced although assigned as reading homework. His resources and presentations are very dated. I was very frustrated and felt unchallenged.

Very easy but interesting class. Pollock is one of those guys that teaches from experience and he is very passionate about the field of Journalism. Really makes you want to be a reporter and change the world. He's a nice guy and has interesting stories.

Pollock is a great guy- he has wonderful intentions and is a lot of fun... I expected the class to be different- I thought it would be more interactive and like a news room, and it wasn't. I'd say the class is fairly easy and Pollock is a nice person, but it wasn't challenging, and I found myself drowsing off a bit.

Although some of the lectures are rather boring, the class itself is very easy, including a midterm, final, and a libel test. Pollock has been in the field of Journalism for quite a long time, and is able to bring his personal experiences to the classroom.

Um Yeaah, this guy may know journalism but he sure isn't a great teacher. This class is titled "Intro to journalism" but by the end of the class Pollock expects you to be an expert on the subject even though he teaches almost no technique and his lectures are mere ramblings of his glory days and what is expected in the class is very unclear.
