Comment:
I took Dr. Kealy's Children's Literature night class in 2001ish, during my biology undergrad. This course was the absolute highlight of my time at UBC. His lectures were hilarious, insightful and deeply inspiring. I still remember many details of the classes, the texts, his teaching all these years later (2015). So grateful I had this experience.

I took courses with Dr. Kealy about 20 years ago. I still remember portions of some of those lectures. He is an amazing professor. When I think back to my undergraduate education, I think of Dr. Kealy. It was an honour and a privilege to be taught by him.

nice and witty. offers a refreshing, sensible and totally unpretentious approach to literature. gets you to think look at literature and life in a totally different way. reads paper thoroughly but is very generous w/ marks. if you can't enjoy his class, just give up going to university.

Prof. Kealy is one of the best prof's I've ever had. I think he's retiring, but maybe he'll come back part-time. He's smart, funny, helpful, cares about students and respects their opinions. Not at all arrogant or elitist. A real gem!
