Criminology is probably the most demanding CRJ class you can take at Brockport, but Dr. Cattat does her best to make the material understandable. You must read! She tells you this class is hard, you have to put forth a tremendous amount of effort to get a "B" or better. Tests are difficult, final paper requires thought. However, superb professor!

She drags the class on!!! Just get to the point. We often spend at least 40 minutes out of an hour class discussing one small example of a theory, and then the other 20 minutes trying to get all the notes which were min of 5 pages. WORST CLASS EVER!!!

I hate this class!!! I was never interested in this class and didn't want to take it but I need this course to get my degree. Dr. Cattat is an awesome teacher and I luv her...I'm just not interested in the class. SHE IS AWESOME and VERY UNDERSTANDING!!!! Will take her again if she is teaching anything other than CRJ 494.

Dr. Cattat is the best professor in Brockport. To do well you have to do the reading and have a firm understanding of all material. She is one of the most helpful and down-to-earth people you will ever meet, and cares a lot about her students. She remembers everybody's name and keeps class very interesting. Can't recommend her enough!

Dr. Cattat is a good professor. She is caring & down to earth. Her class is informative & not too hard. The quizzes aren't even given everyday and when they are, they are real easy! The exams aren't too bad either. I'm taking Criminology next semester and I'm sure I will enjoy it!

Great Teacher! Very helpful and understanding. Takes time to work with you if youre struggling. Makes you work hard but you get so much out of her classes. Very fair grader, but make sure you get to class, you will miss a lot if you dont, plus she gives short easy quizes at the start of class that you can not make up.

HER Criminology Class is SUPER HARD. she will tell you that the class is hard herself. the tests are out of this world. you MUST read. she gives a reading quiz most days at beginning of the class. a few small 3-5 page paper. AVOID taking this class with her. Not as easy as her other classes. even the study guides for the tests are confusing.

One of the best Professors at Brockport by a long shot. Always available for extra help, and she takes a personal interest in each student's life. She always pushes you to succeed, and is always there to help. Brockport was lucky to get her!
