Professor Kimiko Hahn is such a sweet woman. She genuinely cares about her students and cares for them to improve on their writing. I really love poetry and i am so happy that i was able to take this class with her. I would take her again!

Professor Kimiko Hahn is super sweet. I took poetry with her which I enjoyed. The work was not tough at all. I learned a lot from her and she was very helpful.

Professor Hahn has rekindled my belief that their is such thing as a poet in the 21st century. The woman is incredibly talented and has 11 books of poetry! I am truly honored to have studied poetry under her, and I legitimately feel that I have become a better poet. She is very nice and approachable in addition to having such high credentials.

Prof. Hahn is definitely someone you should take. She is kind and understands that not by is a genius at writing poetry. She mkes every student feel comfortable and pushes you to become a beter poet through constructive criticism. I can honestly say that I learned to enjoy writing poetry and I owe that entirely to professor Hahn.

Hahn Uncovered - thought I came to learn to write but what I learned was how not to become more like her. Egotystical monotonous unclear uncaring biznatch I salute you for making me hate once again. i have never in my life had a professor as self centered or narcissistic as Hahn. she loves talking about herself, her "accomplishments" her publications, and her knowledge of just about everything. BORING and annoying, dont waste your time there are plenty of other great professors in the department

One of my favorite professors. She really helped me improve my own poetry, and to appreciate other poetry (except that one guy who kept writing poems with quadratic equations -- that was crap). Her own poetry was beautiful, too! I highly recommend her.

Very enjoyable class. My poetry really improved. I actually felt good about my writing skills by the end of the semester. Her teaching methods work well - you work at your own pace, rather than a weekly deadline. She's helpful but doesn't try to change your poem for you. I also feel I can critique my own work much better than before.

I had her as a graduate student for ENG 753 and I have to say that she's rather harsh on people, particularly those who don't go out of their way to stick their face in her butt. Dull and innaproachable. Students are never sure how they're doing and her grades are suprising. Thankfully, she is leaving Queens for awhile.

for a creative writing class, I didn't feel much room for creativity. Her teachings of the "rules" seem to be opinion based. I felt very limited with my writing. Taught based on opinions. Relatively easy class but I didn't get much out of it.

Very nice lady. very thorough and helpful. she's great because she always goes over the poems assigned so you're not left in the dark. She puts people on the spot, so be prepared for class, read the poems. she's soooo nice though.
