This was a hard class, made even harder by the professor's accent. Biochemistry is sort of a new "language" to a student. Why does it have to be made harder? Several of my classmates who came from the same native country he did said they couldn't even understand him. Now what does that say. UC Irvine sure can pick some bad professors.

I could not understand what he was talking about even if my life depended on it. It was like alien-language. Thank goodness he posted his notes. I didn't go to lecture at all, and used his notes as a guide to read from the book and ended up with an A. oh yeah he does not expect you to know much so just study from his notes for the final.

Has a thick accent, but understandable. People should stop complaining about his accent. He is very unorganized. His notes are horrible. Just attend lecture, and try to listen, then go home and read the book thoroughly. It helps. Memorize all reactions, intermediates, and enzymes. And just pray for a low curve on the final.

this guy is so hard to understand. his accent is so heavyyy. you can't even understand andything he says. his notes are messy and hard to understand too. it's hard to know what you need to know for the test. his test are really ambigous. if only you're lucky, you'll do well. otherwise GOOD LUCK!!!

He's okay, I guess. You can't understand him at all, but he puts his notes online and you can do well on the exam even if you never go to class. His notes are very unorganized and messy though, so it will take you a while to put it all together.

This guy is too funny. I love going to his class b/c of his old-school lecturesand examples about India. Was not too keen about this class but enjoyed it a lot. He def. knows the material to well. (Genetic Engineering) Just memorize the lectures and you get an A.

He keeps me awake in class because his talking is very dynamic. However he sort of goes all over the place and his notes suck so much. I totally had to depend on the book. ( this is one class you'll want to look at the book). The final was super hard, but curve helpeld tremendously.

Tewari is an excellent lecturer.We need more old-school style professors like him, who does not rely on ppt slides to lecture. Although he speaks with an accent, he makes his notes clear and his exams are fair.Just memorize all the notes and you will ace the class. No seating chart for exam! AWESOME

regardless of what biochem you take, gotta memorize everything.it's what biochem is about, it's a prereq to med schools cause they want to see you have the capacity to memorize. prof has thick accent and doesn't answer questions in lecture but very knowledgable, just memorize and you'll ace his test

The final wasn't really that hard, but thanks to cesar chavez day, there was only 1 day to cram for the final. So study early and know more than just the cycles (esp the rxns) bc the final is really comprehensive. He was a funny lecturer and kids really need to stop whining about his accent.

His accent is very thick, but it's understandable. Lecture based on notes, which you can download online. His exams are not in order. He tends to jump from one topic to the next without warning, so it's necessary for you to REALLY know your stuff.
