Kurt tries to learn everyone's names, uses great examples (snack cakes!), includes in-class activities, asks the class for opinions, explains the material really well and will teach you a lot. He's hilarious. I was afraid that this class would be boring, but I loved it!

By far the best professor I had my first semester at VT. Hes hilarious and keeps the material interesting. I highly recommend coming to class. I really did enjoy his lectures and learned A LOT.

Fantastic teacher; the material's not difficult as long as you show up for class. Tests aren't too bad, basically know how to do stuff on the problem sets well and you're all set. Dr. Kurt's a lot of fun; really gets along with the students.
