Laura is precious. I absolutely adore her. Try to take any of her communications or GPS courses. She truly cares about your success as a student. Her grading is also extremely fair and she helps you grow your skills and abilities.

Laura is great. She is knowledgable and often brings in current examples of PR, creating a discussion. She preaches hard on values in PR, which is great. She is a mom, so I think that's what makes her easy to talk to and learn from. She is a serious gem.

Didn't seem to know how to teach this course. Guidelines for assignments were non-existent. Danced around questions. Undependable. Also seemed very disinterested in her students, especially the ones she hadn't had before. She said it was okay to be late but then docked me for doing so (weekend course, new job). Not a very good advisor either.

I enjoyed listening to the lectures during class because they related to real-world experiences that are relevant to the workplace. However, none of her tests follow the study guide she gives out. And for someone who is constantly talking about how much time she spends online on social media, you would think she would take the time to email back.

Not helpful at all, and hurt my grade by not being in the comm center when she said she would be. She'll tell you it's okay to drop something off at the comm center at a specfic time, and then she will claim to have never recieved it...

I love having classes with Laura because she doesnt feel the need to lecture, make class boring or even difficult for you to really learn things you can apply in the real world. She is super cool and helpful, and her classes are entertaining. Definitely recommend her! She does go off topic a lot but somehow we always get things done!

This is the funnest class i have ever had! and laura is one of the coolest and most chill professors i have ever had! She makes class fun, interactive, and easy! She wasnt a hard grader. There is no text book but a couple of articles to read as well as a final paper. no exams! presentations are FUN and very easy. She is great and the class is too!!

I really enjoyed her class. I feel more comfortable about writing for the media now. She promptly responded to emails and allowed me to email her my assignments twice. Her editing analysis of my papers was top notch letting me know what she expected from me. This class gave me a foundational knowledge of journalism.

Laura knows what she's talking about, and she's not going to sugarcoat the journalism field just to keep you interested in it. Instead she exposes you to a smorgasbord of writing jobs in the hopes that you might find something you enjoy and excel at.
