Comment:
He's updated the social psychology course but it's not much better than described here. He constantly goes on rants about psychology, is easily thrown off track, and is hard to follow. Despite all of this, it isn't that hard to pass with a B in the class, but if you're looking for something interesting to learn there's better professors out there.

He is horrible. Jussim is a pompous, arrogant, guy who is extremely opinionated and not even right half the time. He only sees things one way?his way and is not willing to bend. It?s actually sad that a man so closed minded is teaching America?s youth. He clearly is smart; too bad he doesn?t put his brain to something worthwhile and not filling our

I'm not a big text book reader, but this book I actually enjoyed. It was not dense, not overwhelming, and even interesting. The classes were a bit challenging to follow, but once i understood the concepts and book, the exams were easy to do well on. I recommend buying the study guide. Jussim is definitely not bring- one of my favorite classes.

A unique professor at Rutgers. Very opinionated so he will teach you HIS opinions. Does not cover much from the book during class. A good class if you are a psych major, but there are easier electives that you can take at Rutgers

THIS CLASS WAS A MISTAKE! He teaches crap in class and then expects the students to learn the book all by themselves. The untraditional lectures are unhelpful and boring, the exams are very difficult, and the extra credit doesn't really help. I took this as an elective and it was a pain to go to class and see that GPA killer grade on my transcript.

This professor is very interesting. Lectures are fun because he is crazy and presents some cool material, plus he puts intentional errors into his slides that people can catch for extra credit. However, the tests are kind of annoying because the questions get very very detailed. I would recommend this class, but be prepared to work.

come to class, has specific questions from lecture, he usually points it out during class that it'll be on the exam. otherwise most of the material is form the book. only 3 exams. jussim gets really animated so its fun to watch him teach. overall great class.

This guy's all right. He's a cool guy and his lectures are really fun. The material is pretty interesting but you NEED to study for them. I would recommend him because he's a cool guy and his views give some incite that other professors don't care too much about. Overall His class was enjoyable and he was pretty cool.

Horrible professor! Strongly advise against him. I love social psychology and honestly he ruined this class for me. Also will lower your grade based on HIS mistakes. Take this class with a different professor. His high pitched puberty voice and unclear lectures make him and his class a huge bore. Grading is horrible as well.

I try not to slander professors on here, but Lee Jussim's psych class is just not worth taking. He presents a very one-sided view of the subject, and also asks test questions that are so SO extremely detailed, reading the 40 page chapters 3 times still isn't enough. I took this class as an elective and regret it. I'm a solid A student but not her

Needs to click it down a bit... Doesn't cancel class, even when he can't talk. Good lecturer though, makes the class pretty simple. Doesn't take much work to get an A or B; just show up a lot and read the chapters right before the tests.

He was a really fun lecturer and a great guy in general. Lectures are important to go to, as he does a lot of inclass stuff and topics not in the book. The book was terrible to read, but necessary. Exams were straight foward, a little detail-y but nothing terrible. Offers a little extra credit throughout, only downside is minimal, if any, curve

the class is semieasy just read the book and get the notes from first class notes. his lectures are BORING and not worth going to...he'll waste time by trying to get the students to guess what hes trying to teach. BORING LECTURES

Awesome guy, awesome class! It's really in your best interest to go to all of the lectures and keep up with the assigned reading, but he makes it really interesting for everyone. You even get to have partners that he lets you talk to during class, so the whole environment is conducive to friend making. He offers a lot of extra credit, too.

He's a really cool guy. He offers extra credit, so if u atleast familiarize urself with words from the book in bold, ull catch an error.. gives 1 pt EC on exams for having ur name right, and allows cheat sheet for final. If you use his sample questions to study from, your fine! Thats all i did and got an A in the course. Its not bad at all.
