Doc was a passionate, caring and graceful man. A dignified Conductor and a man of deep love for those around him. He was first my Prof, then a dear friend. I hope those that didn't get to know him will not allow their own arrogance and incompetence rate him poorly as is seen in some posted here. He changed my life in a profound and positive way.
