This service/application is so that we can give our opinion. My opinion is that this guy is not an educator. This man needs to retire and enjoy his winter years. Dr. Olson is obsessed with orientation issues. I think we should respect all people. I think this man should be more respectful of straight students. I was offended multiple times!

WOW I can honestly say this was the worst class I have ever taken (high school or university). Dr. O is rude and very political. He is not professor material but would be better behind a desk doing his research. I think he knows his stuff just not a good teacher. rating his as "poor" is too kind.

I was hesitant to take Professor Olson after reading the reviews; however, I took my chances and was quite surprised. Professor Olson is an amazing professor. He is kind and gives really great feedback. He is a bit challenging, and there is a lot of reading, but he is always willing to help you on your papers and extend the due dates if needed.

Lester is a sweetie that really wants his students to do well. This class is not an easy A so you do have to work for it. If you go to class, do the readings, participate, and reach out when you need help, you will do fine. Readings were mostly online and I didn't get the book, so it isn't hugely expensive to take. I hope to take his other class.

Talks A LOT about orientation and is a stereotypical book-smart educator who lives in a bubble. Class is waste of time. I was warned not to take this prof but shame on me for selecting a time slot over a better professor. Never Again

Flat out mean to students sometimes in front of others. This "expert" in communication doesn't have a clue how to speak to other people. Newsflash .... even lowly students are people and being disrespectful to us is just as ugly as the examples given in class.

You don't always realize the impact some professors will have on your life. Dr. Olson was one of the most important professors in my development as a college student and later as a teacher. He is someone who asks you to rise to a higher standard you didn't realize you could reach. He then gives you the support to reach that height.
