Tough accent, but once you understand it he's a great teacher. He knows his stuff like crazy. Tests and quizzes are usually straightforward but even if they aren't he grades easily.

He the best prof. i have so far. it true that he is difficult to understand if you are do not talk to Asian immigrant often. His quiz is easy and he cut slack on test (give partial credit). He tend to go off topic but it keep thing from getting boring. he usually come to class 5 min. late.

His tests are a joke. However, you do learn a lot if you follow the book and attend lecture. Dr. Ding has a clear case of ADHD as he full of energy, going off on LONG tangents having nothing to do with math, showing up to class late,, forgetting everything, etc. One thing he doesn't forget is if you missed class or not.

His lectures lack rigorousness and proofs and that makes me very disappointed. If you like to memorize magic formulas and still get an A - go ahead and register for his class. If you want to actually learn and understand something - take someone else.

Instructor tries very hard to be communicative in English but his accent is so bad you'll get headaches after an hour of trying to figure out what the hell he's saying. Class is not inherently difficult, but if you have trouble understanding him early on your GPA will inevitably suffer later.

Great teacher and motivator. Expects a lot from his students but also gives a lot. I am working on a second degree and this is one of the best teachers I've had for mathmatics.

He started like a normal teacher, then transformed to a real jerk, picking on everyone for absences and all. He gives take home quizzes, but I'm not optimmistic about him to give good grades. And he preaches all the time like we're elementary school kids.
