Very insecure. Would snap at the class over trivial things. She is a perfect example of what not to be as an educator. Class/material was a cakewalk, however, dealing with her insecurities was a nightmare. If you truly value getting the most out of your education, than I suggest taking adolescent development with someone else. Avoid like Ebola!

She told me I made poor decisions, I was manipulative, I was the reason the drop policy was created, based off of a 5 sentence email request to drop due to scheduling. It doesnt matter that she didnt approve my request; she is rude and cruel. It is a crime she is allowed to teach future teachers. Plus her class is just based on text regurgitation.

Probably the worst online class I've ever taken. Her entire course is so unorganized. And don't bother telling her something is wrong or you will feel her wrath. She also grades very slow for an online class. Make sure you read all the other reviews before taking this course.

Impatient, arrogant, rude, very defensive. She does not respond well to feedback, the tension she created was incredible. She allows her mood to be dictated by others. I don't know what her problem is but she is not a pleasant professor and does not allow for a proper learning environment. I have never had this issue in all my years as a student.

"Flip-grid classroom." You have to know your stuff before you come to class. I'm a social learner, so this was not for me. On top of that, she's rude. And arrogant. And believes her way is the only way. Technology is huge in this class but she can't even use it herself? No, thanks.

I just took this class and though the subject is interesting, I do NOT recommend anyone to take this class with this professor. The essay exams are graded for you to fail. This teacher is also very rude and cannot handle any criticism. Don't bother asking for help or you will get a rude response from her.

Neat online class format. Lots of work and reading, often redundant. Gave crabby and short responses to emailed questions. Overly picky when grading. Lots of multiple choice tests and some had unfair questions. Web conferences seemed very high stakes in terms of requirements. Very very stressful class.

You need to take this professor. She teaches the class in such an interesting way; a mix of activities and never a dull moment. You have to watch her video lecture before class and do an assessment. But then you learn a lot more during the class. It's a cool way to learn.

I am loving this class. The instructor uses a lot of technology and the assignments are very innovative. We use literature circles for a part of the class, and the books we've chosen are so informative. The content is challenging, and she expects a lot. But she is very clear and she uses a lot of activities to help us understand.

After taking this class, I now realize how powerful online learning can be. Instead of the usual discussion boards I did in other classes, this instructor used many technology tools like VoiceThread, web conferencing, and YouSeeU. It was very interactive, and I learned a lot. Highly recommend this online course. Expect to work hard.

Dr. Randall uses the flipped classroom, so you have to watch the lectures and be sure to do the reading before class. I'm finding I manage my time better and I'm learning a lot. In the class we talk about the concepts and learn more. I'm looking forward to literature circles.

I just took her adolescence class during intersession and I learned a ton. She has a lot of interactive media and interesting assignments. It's so much better than in my other classes where instructors rely only on discussion boards. We did web conferences, videos, Voicethreads, and a lot of other interesting assignments.
