Very kind and intellegent woman. Helpful and understanding. Class itself, "Memory At Work in Latin American Culture" largely focused on the "desaparecidos" of Argentina (where she's from) and barely addressed other countries. Topics were intriguing, but the course lacked a "backbone," so to speak, as the vagueness of the course title would imply.

She had a lot of assignments to do, but I think it was pretty fair. People complain about her, but it's only because they don't know what they're doing. She gives extra credit at times. Though at times she can be indifferent.

I think Prof. Persino teaches well and I really enjoyed this class. The material was interesting and her lectures were engaging. Her assessment of students is fair. The workload was quite reasonable, consisting of homework, tests, and small compositions. The only downside of Persino is that her personality is dry and she can be unaproachable.Easy A

In addition to be a terrible professor she is not a nice person. She gives busy work for the sake of assigning homework. She plays favorites, doesn't explain or go over homework assignments and is a tough grader. I would not take a class with her again.

She's very smart and knows what she's talking about...holds interesting class discussion, but could make things easier by being more specific in guiding us with writing essays. She doesn't smoothly introduce techniques for writing about literature.
