McDermott was very helpful and everything that was expected was completely clear to students. Online discussions and homework were utilized, but if you read the book and took notes, the online exams were really easy! The group project was really frustrating because my group absolutely sucked, but that's typical of all group work.

Do not take unless you want to work your ass off. This class is too much work for what its worth. The whole marketing plan/bake sale is not fun, and she does not grade it easily. (Lucky if you get a B) Totally not worth all the work you put into it!

She is a super cool professor. Pretty easy class. You do a bake sale which is pretty fun and super easy. Test are weighted a lot less than homework. You get a lot of busy work but it is super easy. Just go to class and it is an easy A.

Good orientation leader because you actually do useful things to help you through college. It's true that it can be a little much for an orientation class, but it is worth it for what you get out of it. GOOD Teacher

Be warned! She may make you want to strangle her on some days, but she does that on purpose. You'll understand why if you take the class. She's one of the few professors that seems to put a lot of effort into her work. It's hard to give that a bad rating, though she might make you crazy with deadlines and groupwork!

I had her for orientation and she was a really sweet lady. Her knowledge on all the departments isn't the best, but I have a feeling it's better than most of the other orientation professors, since she's the head of it all. I BSed all her assignments-- even the final paper-- and passed, so it's not hard at all.

She is a very good instructor for this course and hopefully she teaches it again sometime! She relates very well with her students and is very understanding of students needs. As long as you go to class and put in a good effort, you will do well. (A LOT of points from in-class activities/attendance) Tests are simple if you actually read and study

Maggie is a really nice instructor. She definitely understands and can relate to her student's needs. Tests and assignments are fair. It is important to go to class as you get points from in-class activites. Since it is a behavior class, there is a lot of groupwork involved.

We had homework due in the class about each week. It was pretty much busy work. You even have to buy a book for the class. She is really hard to get ahold of. Towards the begining of the year she was really unorganized with grades but she did get a little better with that as time went on. I would not recommend her for orientation. Take anyone else.

Do not take any online classes with her. She is hard to get a hold of and is ditzy. She has so many spelling errors in all of her assignments and tests. USE SPELLCHECK! She changes her mind in what is due and forgets to communicate to students until 2 days before it is due. Easy grader but annoying.

Great person and Great advisor, but if u take orientation with her you will have a harder time than with most other instructor. We have papers and interviews to do, and many other classes meet like once a year. But, she IS helpful and clear.

She will go out of her way to help you. Orientation is boring, but that is with any class. She was also my adviser, and when I had a huuuge problem with a hold on the day of registration, she was so helpful even though she was busy. She expects some stuff outta ya, but come on guys, it's college.
