Comment:
I had Marek for both first and second semester graduate quantum. Both times, he was phenomenal. While "hard" and having high expectations, you couldn't ask for a better professor. He really won't let you down, but this is contingent on the fact that you put in the necessary work. You won't skate by, but you will learn a great deal. Recommended!!

He is clear and concise. Excellent overall quality. He expects a lot, but you learn a lot.If you put the time in, you will come out knowing a great deal about the physics at hand. Tests are difficult, but not impossible. He will go out of his way to accommodate you if you ask. He is reasonable, easy to follow, and just overall great.Recommended!!!!

Very enthusiastic, but his accent makes it difficult to understand what he is saying sometimes. Tests were initially hard. If you make sure you can understand and duplicate homework problems they will be almost easier.

Thermo class was hard as all Hell. Notes and class lectures were pretty much useless. Fantastic guy all around, but expects way more out of a 300 level class than we have seen. In many cases, it was the first instance we had been introduced to the material, and yet it seems as though he just expected us to magically know it. Highly time consuming.

Teaches the concepts and not just how to plug stuff into an equation. Didn't collect homework for this class, but it's absolutely vital that you do it.

Extremely demanding but at least really interesting. A lot of information to absorb. This class should be 400 level.
