Cancels half her classes and expects you to do more work for her class than all others combined. She assigns long papers that have no reason to be long other than to create pointless work. expect to write at least five 10 page papers and a 20 page paper as the final. The only good thing is that if you do it you get an A.

I took her class almost a decade ago, now as a professor I still use some of the things I learned from Maria. If you are sexist or mysogenistic she will call you out on it. That doesn't make her biased against men... that makes her committed to social justice. Its a hard class but what you learn you will use for the rest of your life.

Maria is like your mom, she loves you and cares for you, but she will teach you the biggest life lessons that you need to learn. She's intimidating and intelligent. She has her students best interest in mind at all times.

Wonderful professor. She always tells you EXACTLY what she wants, and gives the rubric for grading BEFORE giving you the paper. She is extremely professional, and does not hold with uninformed opinions or poorly made arguments. She cares deeply about her students. There is absolutely no reason to not get an A in Maria's class.

Fantastic teacher and advisor. Cares deeply for all her students and is willing to go out of her way to help you grow not only as a student, but as a person. I strongly disagree with the negative comments about her being biased towards men.

Maria is brilliant and inspiring. I am surprised by some of the comments on here. I have never once sensed a hint of bias or feminism for Maria, she keeps all of her opinions private. Maria's 115 class inspired me to go into law. She has helped me in my journey to law school. Maria is a truly wonderful person. I would highly recommend her classes.

She is a great teacher. She is very fair when it comes to grading, but do not expect to be coddled, you are college students after all. She also has a wealth of experience that is a total asset. Personally I have never gotten lower than a B+ in any of her classes.

Maria Cuzzo is one of the top five most articulate professors at UWS. You cannot go wrong taking anything she offers, but be prepared to work. Also, you're taking a class from a seasoned attorney. Have some common sense about how to carry yourself in a discussion, and let go of any need to be coddled for simplistic viewpoints. An A+ prof!

Biased against men. I got an A on every assignment and test for her but she gave me a B in the class because my opinions disagreed with her own viewpoints and we butted heads quite often during class discussions. She is a terrible teacher and should be fired!!! do not take this professor!!! avoid her at all costs!

I have had Cuzzo for a number of courses and as an advisor. I would recommend her to any student at UWS. She is a great inspiration for life, as well as, an instructor. I look forward to attending her courses every semester

I have had her for several classes. I think she is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She goes well out of her way to help students in all aspects of life. She is a very kind person, but I wouldn't want to piss her off. She has tons of valuable knowledge to pass onto students. I would highly recomend her.

extremely biased against men, highly opinionated, narrow-minded, and shallow. has a huge ego problem. has student buy 5 or 6 bad, non-returnable books of which 2 or 3 are used in class, i got A's in every class i took from her but only because my standards are infinitely higher than hers. avoid this teacher unless you are a young woman
