Summer A Online: poor feedback, incoherent&weeks late replies, no study guides, no notes/book allowed, 5 due dates weekly some items won't be graded for weeks. Tips: keep daily journal 4 practice, read ahead on vocab, her tests are mostly sentences & involve all you've been introduced to plus extra stuff you haven't. Awful, but easy when you know..

Very nice teacher. This is the easiest Spanish class at ucf. I highly recommend taking SPN1120 with her. You HAVE to do all of your assignments to get a good grade but it is very easy. She does take a long time to answer emails and grade homework, that is the only thing I did not appreciate.

Takes forever to grade assignments and exams. Posts and then backdates assignments so they appear past due and students scramble to complete the same day. Doesn't deduct points for that but it's disorganized and stressful. Doesn't respond to emails once the semester really gets going. Lab due dates are not posted in UCF calendar so look in the lab.

I just think it's ridiculous to assign as much homework as she did for a level 2000 course. She takes forever to grade, doesn't respond to emails and doesn't understand that things happen, she doesn't give opportunities to fix or make things up... IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR STUDENTS YOU SHOULD NOT BE SO UPTIGHT. Her time is simply "too valuable"

She is an amazing professor. She is very quick-witted and engaging. She did a phenomenal job facilitating conversation in the classroom. She helped even the most shy person in class feel comfortable sharing their opinion. I really enjoyed every day in class, and would take any class she teaches. The only downside is she is a very slow grader.

She's very understanding when it comes to technical difficulties. Her assignments and tests are really easy and clear. The only thing I didn't like was the site we had to complete assignments on because she didn't post the due dates so you had to check the website every day.

As previous raters said, this class is a lot of work. Expect to have around 20 assignments due twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) along with a quiz or exam. The work isn't difficult, but it's time-consuming and can be overwhelming if you don't pace yourself. We also have to post videos speaking in Spanish. Overall the professor is a fair grader.

This class is very intense. I know they say that it is for beginners but it is very fast pace. There is alot of labs to complete. The teacher does respond to emails quickly. The class is time consuming and requires a lot of effort. This is 1 and 2 combined. you can not take exams unless you complete all homeworks in the labs.

I took SPN 1121 during Summer B with Professor Montalvo online. She is very nice and answers all the emails in less than 24 hours. There is a lot of homework in this class but we had everything listed in web courses for the week.

I took this class online, & there is a lot of work (98% of it) to do through MySpanishLab. She lets you know that you are not going to need the text, only the software, so that saves you some $$. There are a lot of assignments due pretty quickly (though I took it in a Summer A session), that may not be accurate for FT sessions. Great Profesora.

This is an 8 credit hour course but she acts like it's worth more like 16 credit hours with all the work you get. Work is easy but a lot of it to do! You will spend hours on her class.

Assignments aren't hard but professor can't seem to get organized. Trying to figure out what is due when is hectic because she doesn't include all the assignments in the schedule or on the activities pages in modules. Halfway through the week she may add additional assignments with no notice to students. You can get an a if you can deal with the lack of organization

I am taking this class online and it is fairly difficult. The beginning was easy but as you get to the end you have to put in the extra effort if you want to do well. Warning: THIS CLASS IS A LOT OF WORK!! You have My Spanish Lab homework due twice a week, Exams every other week, 2 compositions, 2 Youtube Videos, and discussion posts.

(Currently taking SPN 1121.) The online class is harder for Spanish 2. You have to be motivated because you pretty much have to teach yourself the info. Personally, I like how MSL is organized. However, I do not like how the webcourses portion is organized. The good thing about Montalvo is if you ask her for help, she is easily accessible.

I took the class online..pretty easy. The only problem was that she didn't seem like the most computer savvy person...but any problems were eventually fixed. We had a bunch of assignments due twice a week, but everything was simple...I would recommend the class
